Really? I did connect with it but maybe it’s because I can relate to some of the things they are going through. That being said, I still feel like too much time was spent on it and will probably continue this way at least for the next episode.

Yeah her acting is really good, sad that she isn't getting appreciated for it because of the obvious bias. Even I can't connect with her family and really don't care about her father or brother. But the harsh reality is that maya is the main protagonist and the entire show revolves her character, they falsely promoted it as Bilal's story that's why the disappointment.

Also the screenplay is overall the place, they have put 10 actors into the show and couldn't manage to give them due screenspace. On top of that the show has fcuking 4 love triangles, I mean is it for real. Shows have 1 or chalo 2 love triangles at the most but 4 angles here and that too with such draggy scenes and dialogues.

Atp I think the show is gonna have atleast 50 episodes. Because Haseeb with his slow direction has made sure that 1 episodes gets stretched to 2 episodes

I think it's because of mismatch of expectation, I watched the drama with a different mindset. If now what I was expecting based on teasers is not happening, these new bits dont excite me. On top of this dialogues are so wordy and repetitive. The family scenes just feel boring to me.

I think, and maybe I’m being too hopeful, that they will get back into Bilal’s story once they deal with this leukemia storyline. Wahaj’s screen time was so limited the last two so I know it was disheartening but the show somehow still kept him relevant by constantly talking about him. We’re also getting his perspective which is important.

The thing is they have added no family to him. If he had a sister or chacha family , then atleast we would have got something. And otherwise too krq hasn't given him any good scenes.

Like that meri beti ko discuss mat karna dialogue he mentioned it to that escort and humsha why? What was the need? And now he'd be repeat the same thing to sadaf. Like come on, you are making your ml say the same dialogue to 3 different people in 3 different episodes

I think him not having family is the point and the reason why he has become the way that he has. Loneliness is part of this character and explains some of his behaviour. He had some nice conversations with Mirza Saab. I actually really enjoyed their scenes but those will be gone now. Hopefully we get Bilsad scenes now though.

Agreed that too much time spent on the others. They promoted this heavily in Wahaj’s name so hoping they won’t let us down.

Not necessary, in itv despite living in a joint family they show mls being distant and living as loners before they crazily fall for the fl. They could've shown the same for bilal.

Atp kaddu uncle only wants 🤑. He fooled the audience through jn and now doing the same for smd. But the difference is that was a masala show and this isn't, so he isn't getting the same response.

When fans and some reviewers are talking about lack of impact in the love story it’s things like THIS. First you have that glance on the road which is supposedly a huge “catalyst” - even if you don’t think love at first sight tha or whatever. Then they don’t even get any scenes in between - is love based on an illusion of the girl? Then you dampen their first eye lock with distracting scenes before hand when girl doesn’t even wanna meet him but somehow runs to meet him (I know you didn’t have an issue with it but clearly many found it out of place and random), then in the car you have Bilal say things like “Pata nahi woh aisa kyun ker rahi hai?” You don’t even KNOW her?! So like? His weird familiarity makes no sense.

And now when we finally finally have a scene of them you have Bilal repeat a story to her we have heard like 3 TIMES. Matlab… story itself doesn’t want us to care about this pairing. This is not how you write a love story, I don’t care how old fashioned this is supposed to be. How to even get invested in this? The sad thing is that this is not some new concept of bad boy falling for good girl. We all have seen so many better versions of it. None of them included a definition of achi larki either. Some things don’t need to be spelled out 🤡
