I don't think he thinks about his future political career as much as he thinks about all the roasting mehru did

Interesting... won't be surprised if she gives her own spin on the writer's words with tone and voice and gives it more of a snark factor than what the writer intended. From what I have seen, Anmol sucks at playing the bechari female lead and she just looks doped. However, give her a fiery character, she relishes the lines and throws it out like grenade. She looks more alive with those kind of characters.

Glad Mehru is being played by Anmol because with some actors, Mehru would come across as bratty. Here, she is just the right amount of practical pragmatism mixed in with reality -- no one is going to help her and so she has to do what is needed for the family and so who cares about Beejaan complaining about sitting in the mechanic shop. After all, the car isn't going to walk itself to the mechanic shed and get itself repaired by itself.

Let's face it -- the guy probably had a very boring life and that includes his mother. Both mother and son are impressed by this chick who dares to push them around. So there is a kind of awe towards the competition. As for Shah, he just enjoys roasting. Poor Amal just wants compliments. If he had told Mehru that she looks good in black, she would have responded with something like an eye roll and just said, "actually I was out of laundry and this was the only thing in my wardrobe. (shrug)"

Since it's a mills and boon kind of story anything is possible. Maybe mehru will end up being crooked to teach him a lesson after the betrayal and does things that's against her personality. But as of now it looks like he wants to end things without having a public showdown.

My guess is that they will try to move Zain to Malaysia quietly at some point after the public forgets about this case. So to appease the news channels and public, Zain will be in jail but he will not actually go through prosecution. In the gap, Shah will make moves on Mehru to drop the case altogether. So it will be interesting to see how Zain gets his punishment -- will it be divine justice? or justice through the system?

I agree. Anmol is born for such strong characters, not damsel in distress ones. I am happy nowadays many writers started writing more strong female characters which give these new actresses the scoop to give their best. Times change, and new gen aren't hesitated of sharing their opinions, as respecting elders doesn't mean that you go with whatever they say even in the cost of your own happiness. However I am sure Mehru will be forced to marry Shahnawaz for the sake of her mother .
