Despite its many flaws I couldn’t say Mein was BORING. It wasn’t. This on the other hand, IS. And for me this is the bigger problem.

What I loved about the scene apart from the eyelock which was beautiful is the fact that Sadaf couldn't resist and rushed to catch a glimpse of Bilal! ❤️

I’m guilty of forwarding through some of it 🙈 but I agree that I was expecting it to be a boring episode and I thought it would take 2 episodes. I also thought the Sadaf and Bilal scene would come at the end of tomorrow’s episode. I think I’m more frustrated over the next promo. I was waiting for her to be on board and start working there shortly after the eye contact scene but it sounds like she’s still not convinced. Also why is the story shifting back to Ammar and Sadaf. Maybe I’m just antsy waiting for them to have some interaction.Originally posted by: anu41982
The episode was tragically beautiful. Honestly, I was ready for a snooze-fest/ drag-fest and actually thought that Bilal-Sadaf eye lock will only come at the end of tomorrow's episode. But surprisingly, they wrapped the whole thing pretty quickly - at least I did not fast forwarded any scenes
You know, when u come to think of it, I guess the pace was pretty decent today. I think most of us (admirers of W’s acting) have been scarred by the Mein experience and we so don’t want a repeat of that grueling experience this time. I think one will be able to enjoy SMD a lot more when they don’t have any prior biases/prejudices about the cast n crew of this show. Like I said before, I loved the eye lock- the gaze was just perfect and am glad that they didn’t stretch that scene.
She did right? That’s why she ran over. What I loved about the scene apart from the eyelock which was beautiful is the fact that Sadaf couldn't resist and rushed to catch a glimpse of Bilal! ❤️

But why did she run after making it such a point that she won’t see him? Why add that scene? They could have easily just had her come to see him instead of having her go back on her words within the span of 2 seconds. Kafi stupid baat thi.
For me Mein was a disaster in every sense. Zaid had no relevance even if was present in the scene most of the times. How I wish the story was about Zaid and MJ instead of the idiotic 3rd angle. It was more about Ayra and MJ's story.
I am glad that at least Bilal's has a strong presence even when if he isn't there in the scenes! I just hope his backstory and trauma gets explored in the coming episodes...So, far I am happy with the way things are progressing. Rest will watch the coming episodes to see how it goes.
I usually quit watching and stop keeping tabs on a show that I find boring and not as per my liking...did it with Mein...Will see how it goes for SMD.
P.S. - Hoping Wahaj gets the cop series alongside Fawad 🤞
Sorry if this is insensitive, but this frame is funny https://x.com/xemberedcoalx/status/1849140810258010466
I think that’s what it is, you have to give up those prejudices and enjoy. I think I’m just impatient to see their scenes together. Today’s episode was fine, I’m just hoping tomorrow’s isn’t all about Ammar because I’m not that invested in his characterOriginally posted by: arshi1983

Mein was interesting in the beginning and the end... it was mess in the middle ... plus alot of disappointment came from 1) falsely marketing as a love story 2) so less screen time for wahaj
But it was not boring by a long shot... this one is... its trying to be all grand and poetic and larger than life but failing to even come up with engaging character interactions
