I lowkey thought salar also subconsciously thought like qasim and did not want to clear sitara's name before marriage because he knows if sitara is proven innocent, then she would be happy in her life, wouldn't give a second thought to him and cut him off completely from her life. Salar can't bear that. He wants an excuse to stay in her life and grabbed it with both hands in the form of trying to help her (with his crazy antics lol).

THAT....is a very dark interpretation bro.

Honestly, while I don't think he was actively thinking about this, but it is true that he wanted an excuse to stay in her life. Any time he decided not to give her a thought, he would come back and do exactly that.

@ bold - that's an interesting take.

But i think with Salar, it never even crossed his mind that how the incident played havoc in Sitara's life and also his solutions were always quick fix ones, which led to further complications for Sitara

Till date all Salar's actions have been with good and noble intentions, but short-sided, proving to be detrimental in the long run.

... He is playing good cop bad cop with mehreen being bad cop and he being good cop... Goal toh same hi hai- wanting sitara out

And honestly sitara hasn't built any bond with anyone (in mayka or sasural) for someone to take the trouble of going out of their way and taking care of her... Hell! Even nani started disliking sitara before salaars lie... So why would tahir invest so much money, energy and patience in sitara?

Ironically the only person in the world who will make any effort for her is salaar... Who she hates(?)
