Unintentionally Armaan in his grief is pushing Abhira away from him emotionally and physically which is somehow making her feel guilty and helpless over the situation. They could also show Armaan trying to be normal with Abhira being considerate so she doesn't feel guilty about the situation, though a part of him lost & detached from happiness, he breaks down when he is alone unable to process hatred by his mother. Armaan being suffocated as he couldn't vent it out, his emotional turmoil would be more relatable.

Armaan's basic characteristic is he has always taken the burden of relationships on himself without expectations as he was always made to feel indebted to them. He never got the right to express disappointment or be angry with his parents. Armaan going back to being the man who doesn't express his true emotions would be better. This scenario would've been better considering the depth of his love for Abhira.

Armaan confronting Vidya the way he confronted KP seems impossible.

To understand him better we need a monologue for Armaan but the way makers are rushing things I don't see it happening.
