Atp this doesnt seem to be about a grandkid. Vidya is simply lashing out bc she thinks Armaan disobeyed her and married Abhira against her wishes after she publically stated that he had to choose between her or Abhira. It hurt her ego real bad and also she has always expected Armaan to be her puppet and do everything she says bc she “accepted him wholeheartedly” and hence she needs him to pay her back for her affection.

The only empowering thing Anupama did was to get a divorce despite everyone around her pressurising her not to. Everything else before and after is just pure rubbish, with her enabling patriarchy and misogyny by disguising it as feminism and women empowerment. Also I’ll see if I can find the link, it was from 2021 time.

Vanraj was the ML and Rajan wanted Anupama and Vanraj to reunite post the cheating reveal and abuse but his writers convinced him that Anupama needs to go ahead with a divorce and so they did. Gaurav was supposed to be a cameo, he was only brought in initially for a 3 month run which later became what it is now, due to popularity and numbers. The show had three protagonists at every given point and it was Anupama, Vanraj and Anuj.

I don't think so. Main theme of the show was anupama leaving her cheating husband and gaining individuality. It's same in all language versions.

She's pleading V to reconsider not for herself but for Armaan's sake who is gonna cry about how broken and hurt he is by V shunning him and Abhira will be made to feel responsible for the mother-son discord and then has to take it upon herself to sort the issue

Honestly no, Abhira is not doing any of this just for Armaan. She wants this family as much as he does bc she was the one who wanted Kaveri’s validation, she was the one who kept trying to find a mother in Vidya even after the deal marriage revelation and how awful Vidya was being to her. At that point Armaan was not even a factor, yet she came back to repair Armaan Madhav’s relationship. Armaan is weak for this family but so is Abhira. Nobody in their right mind would call her selfish for choosing peace over this toxicity but she thrives in this toxicity only bc she wants both Armaan AND his family. All of her actions cannot be justified as her doing it for Armaan bc then the vice versa should work too. She hides stuff from Armaan bc she doesnt want him to fight for her, she even stopped him from taking her side against Ruhi after Manish’s heart attack. Both of them are doormats to Poddars and this is the honest truth. Speaking of Armaan eventually resenting her for leaving family, doesnt the same apply to inferitility? She trusted him to not resent her for that in the future so why not this? Also being an ITV FL, at the end of the day, she will never let go of this family even if Armaan wants to.

The show deviated from its theme about 3 years ago, so I dont even think the other versions are relevant. Also I am not saying this, Rajan did and even Sudhanshu used to keep calling himself the ML until he left.

Also I never said Armaan is leaving bc of self respect, he is leaving out of majboori for sure but for the girl who talks about the importance of her self respect so much, hers seems to be diminishing rapidly each day.
