Rishi Bhrigu ki wife gave sharan to some demons,,,so their end was hindered,,angry on this Lord Vishnu cut off Rishi Bhrigu ki wife's head....so Lamenting Rishi Bhrigu gave shraap to Vishnu ji that he will also get separated frm his wife just like this & will lament in virah of his beloved... Sita Ram was living this curse in this incarnation.

So they are actually copying from AS Ramayan
