On the topic of toxic feminism, in a recent conversation at lunch today, two of my colleagues called the women of Rajshri films as doormats because they left their careers for their love interests or did not show any inclination to it. What are your views on that?

I don't find it wrong if women choose to be housewives and run their family or decide to make a name with a career. Though I believe it's very important in today's era to stay financially independent, but I think a woman should be given her rights to decide for herself, genuinely without any pressuresmiley1

She shouldn't be looked down upon if she genuinely wants to be a housewife and not an employee.

I don't think in today's society Career should be a choice. I think everyone should earn money if they are physically capable. Both Men and Women. You can't trust anyone. Earn your own bread.

But Ha. Calling someone doormat is not right.

Thank you for sharing. Housewives are just as imperative to the running of the household as the breadwinners. Yes, it should be her choice though, not one forced upon her by family. Same for men tbh. Someone wants to be a house-husband coz his wife is earning enough, good for him. Don't go and pester him to take on the breadwinner role or look down on him. To each their own in the household.
