Of course, I meant for his own sake - people who are looking out for his interests. If SM hate is so excessive, it does tarnish your brand equity and affects long-term earnings and career prospects. No one wants to work with a guy whose involvement risks bringing excessive hate and bad word of mouth (contrived it may be) for the project that millions get invested in, or whose involvement requires spending extra $$$ in terms of contingency planning and response or just the plain headache of having to deal with the baggage that someone likes that bring to a project. If I am a producer choosing between Wahaj & Ahad or Wahaj & Bilal, I may just dismiss Wahaj as an option coz who wants to think about, let alone deal with, this baggage?

People hate Feroze as a person but those haters don't undermine his projects, shit on his pairings, and degrade his craft. No one I know has been approached by their moots in DMs or told in GCs they can't support Feroze's new drama (or be blocked or asked to leave), but I know people that this has happened to for praising SMD when the first look released.

As long as Feroze hate does not extend to his projects and affect their bottom line, which is what producers care about at the end of the day, Feroze can beat up 3 other wives/gfs for all they care.

There will always be a loyal Wahaj following from his fandom and the YumHaj fandom as well. Even people who are not following the show are wishing him success on this.

Haters Sab ke hote hain. But makers go with mass appeal too. If picking a hero in a romance genre, of course picking Wahaj makes more sense than Ahad and Bilal. The baggage you’re referring to sometimes works in their favor.

PR change is just for the sake of Wahaj himself. Makers can twist any bad thing in their favor no matter what.
