The irony is that both shows are having base of Rajasthan. While *Balika Vadhu* portrayed a highly orthodox setting, here the Poddar family is portrayed as extremely modern, even going so far as to marry their daughter-in-law to their eldest son after discovering they were in love, all while showing little concern for their missing son. Note the contrast: the show with an orthodox mindset upholds strong values to their relations (blood or non-blood), while the one with a modern approach displays the lowest mentality and lacks any values for any relation.
