That shady house of avni's sister was before Vidur got into trouble. And at that point, it was his first priority to convince his sanki baap to change his statement and get him out of jail first. After that, he did bond over Yuvika into investigating about Prem's death again BUT he had his own reasons which he did admit — find the real murderer so that Vidur's image is not tarnished. But yeah, HM glorification made NeiVika become side ckts when the actual mystery was solved by them.

Neil was always the one who had maximum input but lack of ss and glorification of his deeds, made him a side ckt

Not only neil, all the supporting character are there for either for yuvika or dj, as a negative or positive way and they don't have their independent existence. It's just that neil is fl's love interest portrayed by one of the current popular actor and a regular character which made him the most discussed character.

Then she goes to those places Neil wanted to go but they didn't have time. She goes there to have chai. I felt a bit bad the first time when she hallucinated him. But the second time Yash came there....
