Now I understand. Salman is a cheap person. But somehow he helped Sitara admit in that university . He even drops her to it daily.. I want to watch them once while they are going to the uni. smiley36

I guess she started her studies. Na?

He is paid her fees to soften Sitara's stance towards marrying him. Plus it would giving him an excuse to get closer to her and wear down her defenses by spending time together while dropping and picking her up. I do think that Salman finds her attractive, it is just that he does not really care for her.

And yes, she will be starting her studies for MA Economics from the next episode. I think both Salar and Sitara are going to end up dropping out and wasting a year. Good for them, get married and have a long honeymoon together. smiley27smiley14

They did mention it. Salman got her admitted to MA Economics instead to LLB because it is cheaper.

On Salman's end, he admitted Sitara to MA Economics even though she filled out the form for LLB and he paid the fees for MA Economics to get in her good books. How he got the money I am not sure? His mom is saying in the previews that he is now doing an online export-import drop shipping business. I don't know whether that is the truth or not, or whether he had some money saved up. But at least that is what his mother is going to project to the world now. Sitara wasn't able to change to LLB because the deadline had already passed and the money that was paid as her fees for MA won't be refunded. Plus MA Economics costs 5,000 PKR while LLB costs 80,000 PKR. When she defended Salar's dad, he offered to transfer that 5000 PKR for the LLB in Sitara's name and also sponsor her additional late fees for late LLB entry (but the rest of 75,000 PKR would remain her own responsibility) from the charity he was doing (it is a loan though, Sitara will have to pay it back). Sitara declined this because it is too much financial responsibility (she could have probably managed 75,000 PKR by selling or mortgaging her mom's ring, but the added 5000 PKR and additional late fees plus possible interest is too financial burden for her).

Palmistry reminds me of the time back when I was a kid, someone sent a handprint to a famous palmist who had a show on a national news channel to ask about their future. The palmist drew out a whole analysis including career, 2 children, marriage, etc. only to be revealed by the sender that that was a monkey's paw print and he just wanted to expose the palmist's bullshit. It became a whole national meme

I hope not. She can't be that cruel. Maybe she will send it off to a shelter or something.

Zoya is a great character. I like her. She knows that Sitara is innocent and she wants to protect her from her vile relations.

So Hindi and Urdu aren't your language , but you manage understanding this show very well. Masha Allah. smiley14 I try to manage but many times I fail because they speek very fast.. specially Ali Ansari. smiley36 And I have problems in hearing.smiley9

Thank you for explaining the university roles, fees and the whole Salman's tricking Sitara into studying economics. If she does she may handle Sikandar industries after marriage. smiley4

I laughed hard reading about that Palmsity expert .smiley36 I wonder who wants to know his /her future! smiley5 It is scary. smiley34

Yes. Zoya is very understanding and kind. Do you know that this actress : Zohreh Amir starred opp Ali Ansari in Seerat? But they broke up because there was a twist in that show, where he had to marry the girl whom he hates from the bottom of his heart.smiley2smiley36

I try my best to understand it though. I learnt Hindi at school, we had an option for Urdu and Sanskrit but everyone, even those whose mother tongue was Urdu, used to pick Sanskrit because it was so scoring. But honestly, it has been 12 years since I have really spoken Hindi even though I am still in India right now. You don't really need Hindi or Urdu to get by until and unless you are in the Hindi belt.

Ali Ansari's accent is more Indian-like. Not sure how to explain it but he tends to use a lot more English words which has become increasingly common in urban India. But otherwise it is nice to hear Hindustani (the colloquial Hindi-Urdu) in the show. You can make out that the writers really are from a Urdu-speaking background unlike Indian shows where writers tend to come from all over the country and write in a language that is not their mother tongue. I am not sure how to describe it but the sentence structures or even the expressions used, including verbs, are very Hindi-Urdu belt like. Like it is the proper grammatically constructed sentences that were in our school textbooks.

Although I have to admit that there is a difference even in Urdu from Pakistan and India. I was surprised to hear them use the word yateem because that was the first time I had heard it while Urdu speakers here tend to use the word nawalid for an orphan. I actually had to google its meaning. So, even within Urdu, there are differences.

People are often curious and do indulge in palmistry to know their future. In Dharmic religions, astrological compatibility in matchmaking is a huge thing, so people do take that seriously. However, it is unscientific, so I do not think it should be allowed to rule people's lives.

I googled up Seerat and Zohreh Amir looks so good in it. Like she is styled much better in it. I wonder if Ali Ansari, Zoya Nasir, Zohreh Amir etc work with 7th Sky repeatedly.

I feel like they use too much English in this show ... Like it isn't a word or phrase .. full fledged sentences ..... Probably becoz it's a youth romance n target audience is young ... They use English to show how affluent salars family is

This is how language is changing in all over India as well. I was watching a Tamil romcom movie the other day and I was surprised at the amount of English they used there.
