Even more than that, I think it was a tie up to the beginning of the episode where he was talking about how he has no one - not even his daughter and definitely not his son - to defend him publicly even if he commits a mistake, something that is important in business. So, the episode kind of drives into that. Sitara first defended his "generosity" to the students who were trying to diss him. He offered her the sponsorship as a reward but she declined it in a positive and confident tone and he was impressed with her. What probably did however leave a lasting impression was not that Sitara was willing to defend her cousin even though he committed an intentional misdeed just because he was her family and that she declined it out of the ground that she wants to rely on her family, she got to the crux of how Salar's dad thinks - that it is not only out of love that families of criminals etc stand by them, it is because they do not want to be called families of criminals as well. That, I emphasise, is the core of Salar's dad's personality. He does charity not out of generosity, although there is a genuine element of his own interest in that, he does it out of need. Because he is such a ruthless businessman (I just explained why Saba was angry, basically he can be pretty shady at times), he needs to project these generous image so that he has a good reputation in the community. And Sitara fully understood that logic when she said that she would rather rely on her family than outsiders even if she is doing it out of her own requirement than love because at least she can left with an image of self-respect and dignity.

I think Salar's dad will offer her the sponsorship for LLB again through Junaid or something along those lines. He was quite impressed with her. LLB, as Salar rightly said, suits Sitara. It is a good in-story analogy. MA Economics is a stand in for Salman, one she didn't want, is not going to be able to fully devote herself to but will forced to mollify herself with in time just because it is familiar. LLB, on the other hand, stands for Salar. It represents her freedom, dignity, respect and her ability to stand on her own feet even with it is with support from outside, i.e., the sponsorship. I think one reason why Salar's dad will agree is because of the reason for which he agreed to Salar's choice of career, that is, his image. Salar working with the best of the global wildlife photographers improves his image. Same with Sitara. Her marriage will be a Fairytale-Cinderella PR. Sitara is devoted to her family and so she will defend her father-in-law in public if needed and stand by him. She is clear sighted, and if she does an LLB, since she already has an Economics degree, she will be perfect fit in the Sikandar Group. On the PR side, her wedding with Salar will be a fairytale story projecting his dad's big heart and good image. People will think that this man definitely loves his children and children-in-law, look how progressive and generous he is, otherwise why would he allow a middle class girl to become the bahu of his family. On the other hand, Sahiba is a spoiled brat. Yes, there is her money but considering that she is not good at communicating with Salar (something that Sitara does effortlessly and something that Salar's dad actually craves for deep down), not to mention not particularly good at business considering the fact that she pushed her own company into a huge disadvantage just for a chance with Salar (not even a marriage mind you, just to spend time around him), she will ultimately be a liability. Sitara, under his wings, can blossom beautifully and if there is one thing that Salar's dad likes, it is credit. Sitara's shining will be a reflection of his own image, and I can see why he would perhaps support them (especially considering the BTS where Salar and Sitara are having a full high society formal engagement ceremony).

Thank you smiley1! I do try to remember those plot points. I always thought that these are meant to be drawn as parallels to Sitara's family. That both Salar and Sitara's families are toxic, can be manipulative and the couple would be better off without them. It is just that while we find Sitara's family crass and can easily identify and call them out as toxic because they are middle class, Salar's family (minus his sis and BIL) hide behind the veneer of wealth and sophistication while being equally petty, toxic, manipulative and money minded. I try to watch them because it explains so much of Salar's behaviour.

And yes, I hope Sahiba's story ends here. She already was so pissed off in today's episode. I hope she takes a hint soon enough. And if needed, I hope her dad steps in and puts down his feet and takes her out of the scene.

I genuinely loved today's episode. I know some people found it boring but I liked it. Salar is so different and involved with Sitara. Like Sahiba is more of an annoying afterthought to him. He did realise he hurt her feelings at the last moment. But seriously, he needs to grow up quite a bit. Loved the Indian representation - Suresh and Mohit smiley36. And that hand reading thing. LMAO. THAT is not a headline. But yeah, OK. smiley36

By the way, is palmistry common in Pakistan? Is astrology a thing there too? I know that Mughals were very into astrology and sponsored a lot of Sanskrit texts regarding astrology to be translated into Persian and even a lot of Muslims on this side believe in it, but would love to know if it is common in Pakistan too.

Also, Salar watching Tere Bin. I have only watched reels of it on YT. I read that some of it is toxic plus there is an obsessed cousin vamp, but I think I should seriously watch.

Also, tomorrow's episode is going to be great. Damn, Salar se saha nahi gaya. And good that Salman is exposing Kiran. She deserves this. I hope he marries Kiran in the wedding where he was supposed to marry Sitara. After all, as Taya's only child, I assume she will have a bigger share of property and that is what Salman really cares about.

First let me thank you for the review. Ep was without E.Sub. so I wouldn't be able to understand unless you explained what happened. But did that Suresh tell Salar that he'll return back to Pakistan within 2 months? And what did Salman do? Did he pay the fees for study economics? Where did he get the fees from? And why wasn't Sitara able to change to LLB are their fees higher?

I too enjoyed watching this ep. And I don't know about Pakistanis. But here in Yemen most of ppl don't believe in astrology or palmistry. It is non Islamic concept. Although you can see many muslims like doing such things to have fun..

I watched TB till ep 15 then dropped the idea. I wonder why I couldn't digest the vamp and the FL too, she kept torturing the poor ML. smiley36

I am happy that Karan was exposed in front of her mother at least, which means nothing.. but I am glad that villains of this show know who are the wrong ones .

I loved the university encounters, Tahir and Sitara's meetings.

When Sahiba reminded Salar that he made her take care of that cat, I felt worried . Will Sahiba harm it out of her anger?smiley3

I like it how Shahida hates her sasural. smiley15 She wants to see Najma and her family down. She said no family will accept Salman as their SIL. This means that in the end she'll accept him. smiley36

In the previous ep Ehtisham's wife (Zara or Zoya!) was really conserned about Sitara. She tried to save her from marrying Salman..she wanted her to marry Qasim..or her own brother. This makes her Sitara's well wisher. smiley27

Yes Suresh said he may not even stay for 2 months.

Salman intentionally enrolled her in economics because he knows it is a difficult subject for her and she will drop out (and also probably because it’s cheaper)

yes LLB was supposedly much more expensive.

Yeah the whole positive way that Sitara tahir meeting went tells me she will be accepted easily so I think there will be different conflict to strech the show

Also agree about Salman n salar n the economics n LLB thing ... She will probably momentarily accept marriage with Salman but eventually choose salar like she will choose LLB

The best moment today for me was how well salar knew Sitara .. he said she is a debater n is best suited for LLB ... Wow the understanding is deep

@Bold: FL's behaviour was understandable towards ML. Remember he slapped her. Even though he was empathetic towards her later but still her situation was so difficult at that time.

I agree , that slap and also that marital rape made ppl angry at ML. However I feel FL's badtameezi was OTT which didn't go well with my idea about a fl. smiley9

Thank you @JoJo. smiley31

Now I understand. Salman is a cheap person. But somehow he helped Sitara admit in that university . He even drops her to it daily.. I want to watch them once while they are going to the uni. smiley36

I guess she started her studies. Na?
