Unfortunately, the motivations for his current behaviour are too inscrutable to have any empathy as an audience. His fear of losing Arshi isn’t looking normal ( at least that is what I make of the updates)

It's absurd..abnormal..the way he is clinging to Arshi now..She is no more traumatised...she is back to normal..why then???even during the Runak marriage reveal and Arshi's suicide attempt he was much more calm and concerned that Jhanak's name should not come in picture...now makers are showing this crap!!

I am just back from a trip , have followed the epi s closely and would like to put forward my views !

Just not confident enough, whether I should put in the efforts to do so , given the slant Leena has chosen to take with her narrative !

Anirudh just the other day, told Arshi you can go and stay at your mom's till Apu di's wedding gets over, if your mom has an issue with this alliance ! Coz tum nyayi nyayi iss ghar mein ayi ho, Apu di iss ghar ki beti hai, toh shaadi toh iss ghar se hogi !

He does not want Arshi to 'leave' BH, coz of "J's accusations" as in his eyes, it's an incorrect reason to make Arshi leave - as he considers J's claims to be invalid and baseless - he genuinely does not believe in J's claims ! He has forgotten what transpired between them that night !

Now whether medically it is at all possible to forget the details of such a night, coz he was delirious with fever, I know not , what I do remember is the following -

1. Next Day : I am sorry J, main kal tumhe gale lagake so gaya tha, par mujhe bahut sukoon ka neend huya, thank you J for the body warmth and support !

2. At the BH Corridor when J says nothing significant or worth remembering transpired between them : Humara kareeb ana, mera tumhe gale lagana, tumhe laga woh bbas mere bukhar ke liye tha? Meaning I was not seeking your body heat alone, I had feelings for you.

I do not see him being reduced to BB although there's a parallel that Leena wants to draw here. If tomorrow she shows, that he does remember everything and Ani is just acting up to save his face against society and family, then I would rest my case as he would genuinely be reduced to being BB !

ATM of whatever I have seen, he looks at this as a question on his character, and a way to malign his character and as any 'respectable' human being would , he tries to defend himself and his character !

Of course the dialogues r toxic n extremely triggering and has taken the situation out of control, but the intent is to defend himself ! He is totally dumb-founded by J's claims, cannot process why she is claiming so - hisaab nehi mil rahi - somewhere it's not adding up !

But even a womaniser has the right to defend, if claims are false ! Here Ani has not been shown as a womaniser/a pervert or lustful barring a couple of occasions where he behek gayo! He has mostly maintained a sane invisible Laxman Rekha with J !

Plus, J had not confronted /discussed with him ever about the night, so this after 2 months, is a bolt from the blue !

What I realised from today's epi , is J has not realised that he 'genuinely' does not remember the night. For her one of us is lying and clearly it is Sirji ! So yes, in J's eye Ani is nothing but BB!

In fact what you are saying is true and a couple of posts above I mentioned this to @shanakanj who wrote something similar to this..that she maybe on to something and now you have detailed it well.

I haven’t watched the episodes so hard for me tell…but the way these episodes are being set up, it is open to many interpretations. I mean yes logically a man should not be expected to just own up to a claim just becos someone makes an allegation and in this case they aren’t on good terms.
Now the monologues of Ani makes sense even if we are laughing at it..He thinks she is making up a claim so he assumes she is taking revenge but obviously they did not have ( I assume) Ani in the room when she makes the case to Dadu saying why should I claim here if the father was someone else.

We will need an explainer after every episode 😂😂😂
