So Ian is microbiologist who doesn't believe in God. He falls in love with Sophi who is deeply influenced by Hindu mythology and Indian culture. She believes everything has God and thinks they have been with each other for many lives. While Ian doesn't believe in reincarnation being a scientist... He mocks at Sophie saying that 13.7 billion years ago everything was condensed at a point so all the atoms that make Sophie and those make Ian were together.

Later she dies in a lift accident and he finds her eye scan matches that of a little girl in India. Since eye scan is unique, he goes to meet her on insistence of his now wife since the scan of their son's eye had matched someone and he actually responded while seeing those close to the dead person with whom his eyes matched.

He finds the girl and experiments on her, but only 44% of her answers match to what Sophie would have given (including some of things Sophie was closest to) he thinks that it was useless to come to India and thinks of dropping the girl back but the moment the girl sees the lift she starts shivering without a word and hugs Ian crying inconsolably. Ian looked at her for sometime completely mum picks her up and takes he out on stairs as the movie ends. Probably he got his answers.

See they can't definitely exclude Shaleen he isn't like Mohit and they have gone extra mile to get this heart angle so Talwars are to stay and Yash is the Male Lead now(not Mahir/DJ anymore), yet I am happy makers understood that Mahir was a central theme and couldn't be ignored for long

I thought exactly this also we wanted their Raksha Bandhan in start of the show, nd childhood bond but Nastik shown us none😑

But its not like they would hv shown her tying him rakhi nd him treating her like his sis, he killed Miraya's husband, Yuvika is no one for hin then.
