Exactly. She is an idiot and dumb. Pushed him unnecessarily to Arshi and signed annulment papers too without any hesitation. I will say Janak is more at fault. She didn’t even allow him to talk about the night too.

Instead he is so blinded by rage of thukra huya ashiq and the insecurity of Adi being the one for J , that any sane sense has fogged!

Would Chhoton Bodo ma or Jethu try to make him see some sense? Believe otherwise? They wouldn’t! In situations like these, a neutral view n advice helps! Would S, A, T, B,L, Sh, Th show him the flip side and convince him otherwise? Yes they will !

The writer is on a mission to show J winning against all odds and rising like a phoenix after getting snubbed by the only one that means the most to her !

It baffles me why writers, female one’s definitely, take this route? Pehle ML ko achha dikhao, fir ML ko gida do, to hail the FL?

I remember a Pak series I watched last year - Tere Bin , Murtasim was such an endearing ML and his love for Meerub , misaale de ja sakte the! The leads chemistry was insane and catapulted the series to great heights in no time !
The PH had not expected such unexpected love for the lead’s chemistry! They had a different story to tell - that of showing circumstances where insecurities creep in for the ML, due to the FL being dheet, he feels the sting of unrequited love and the possibility that his wife Meerub is in love with her college mate/ has a suitor ! The story was meant ti have hinged on martial rape - that was the twist that the creative makers had designed!

There was sucha huge uproar when people saw the precap and couldn’t digest it. All social media platforms ripe with hate , disgust and protest that they cannot butcher Murtasim like this !

The makers bent, showed it to be as if consensual but the FL leaves home after the kaand ! Then on the story made no sense, bo logic, no connect coz why did the FL leave if it was consensual? Why did the ML cry n feel guilty?

It is a lazy, easy and cheap perogative to scapegoat the ML, yes people are definitely flawed n no where near perfect, but some things are sensitive and you either choose to not build a character and make viewers believe in him, or if you do, you stick to the character graph ! Period !

The creative liberty towards this character is endless-

1. j jalao’ed didi

2. Sacrifice trophy for didi

3. Don’t let him come clean with Arshi

4. Mujhe laga tum mujhe chhor ke kabhi nehi jayogi? So that J can retort with ‘Keep’

I am not even expecting anything around “love” at all, my least of expectations is, whether they will allow Ani to breathe and let him behave the way, we know he would, if we believed the character we saw in the first 230 epi s to be true ?!

You may have noted this…Ani of the ad shoot and Ani of Mumbai track are different people; there was a nuance to the jealousy of Ani.. there was more restraint to his behaviour even if there is anger on seeing Adi yet they made him actually lose it over a spilled plate!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I see this as the deviousness they choose to engineer difference for separation on strange actions similar to the post fire phase when Ani was AWOL for jhanak and later his unexplained requests to Jhanak for losing the final

As Ani has the trait of jealousy, let’s us flip it up and throw him over the edge whenever needed.

i understand that love stories require impediments and saw that in this story Ani’s character will receive blows as unfortunately itv does not know a better template for such stories.

If the track mirrors BB- Urvashi in any shape or form after the baby announcement, it is the deathknell of the story… if you get the character to a such a poor level show the courage to keep them apart. I mean even if love is formed from this point… why should anyone believe love was the propelling force? It’s important that whatever the journey from here, they must be distinctly be different from BB-Urvashi story. I had hoped the imperfections and circumstances will lend to a beautiful love story not a rehash riddled with hate and animosity.

I read your points about playing up one at the expense of the other…fl vs ml I would say it is a topic that deserves a separate post and discussion Given the nature of the audience mix which places the impossible expectations of the female lead where She and she alone can be placed on the pedestal so who else will she be able to reform, redeem berate and feel all powerful in a world which otherwise offers her little agency.

Coming to this story. While . my hopes are sinking…For me end gane Runak at any cost isn’t the point. I expect a story where both show understanding and empathy towards so in this journey. Not a rehab project!! If that can’t be done, just let them go their separate ways.kabhi kisiko mukammal jaha nahi milta

Hi Arna, same here.. the precap only gives me nightmares. Unfortunately, I connected with these characters and followed their story for a few months of my life, and this has become a painful connection that is so hard to let go of! I am still trying to figure out how to get my mind out of this mess... Runak ke bare me sochana I have left for a while now! Because I have not been liking both of them for quite some time. I was so clueless ki I dint watch the other shows that I regularly watch. I'm beyond disappointed for hanging on to the show, even the slightest. I hope this is not someone's reality, bt if it is (going by the IV of producer), then God save such people.

True man! She does not want to give any kind of story just shocks to the audience. The show is already a joke now, I would not be surprised if tomorrow they introduce some sci-fi crap like Arshi turning into "Patali Devi"!! They will do anything to earn TRP that is what I see.

Bold: I agree with you wholeheartedly... At this point, I can't root for them! I have been saying this for the past few days, I do not like these characters at all. The kind of human being I thought they were, they are the complete opposite of that.

they are so badly portrayed and so ruined for me to wish them happily ever after. It's confirmed this show is all about drama, not pure emotions or connection! Whatever may the issue or topic be, it needs to end in creating more drama! It can never end in a simple logical way...
