I read J in the earlier stage to be genuinely apologetic about her situation and the moral angle was confounding her conflict further. She wanted to go away but that didn’t happen and she kinda kept looking for ways to leave. However, around this time things started to started to change in slow and subtle ways. Her understanding that even if exasperating Sirjee was doing a lot to keep her safe. Their relationship at this stage was undergoing the most change in really subtle ways. In recent memory, that phase was beautifully handled by the writers when people irrespective of sensibilities got sucked into the story. It’s in this phase and started rooting for it. As things moved along, J subconsciously started to attach significance to the rite of marriage even while refuting it and simultaneously finding ways to leave BH. Yet, her attachment grew in inverse proportion to her attempts to get out of this relationship. A gridlock was reached. I also believe Jhanak fell in love with Ani far before he did and realised it too much earlier than Ani. In the sense that Ani was getting attached to Jhanak on an everyday basis very strongly but he wasn’t questioning it and subconsciously he was at that stage of “I don’t think Jhanak feels this way” . This is also why he used to compartmentalise his feelings zimmedaari and pyaar. The thing is Ani and Jhanak approached the moral conflict through a different lens and therefore they dealt with it differently. Sometimes I think if Ani had realised his feelings earlier, he may have time to resolve the conflict in better ways but his realisation was late and pretty sudden in coming so the do naav persisted as well and then became reality. Also if his approach to the moral conflict was like J, this story could have spun into a different direction

Coming back to whether J used those words to get him to stop acting recklessly.. I do think yes she did but not before she tried to seek answers to it. The thing is when Ani was showing signs of getting attached to her ( even when he wasn’t in love with her) J recognised it and which is why she used to ask him leading questions. Her questions were leading ones and meant to disturb him but Ani being Ani his responses were about zimmedaari etc so in a way, that meant there was no future in that bond. So Jhanak was always wary of attaching hopes where none existed and later when she clearly recognised that Ani was falling for her, it was too late and the messiness would have only increased so she kept up the facade strongly. In these instances, initially she used anger, later when they fell into an easy phase feigned ignorance when Ani asked leading questions.

It’s actually fun to bring different perspectives to the way these episodes could be read. I don’t know if I offered a perspective or I was rambling 😂😂

Rekha, ummm...I have a completely diff perspective; albeit not a popular one. I feel Ani fell in love with J very early on and has been doing performance with Arshi since then. The way he pursued her with intent in Srinagar. He sought her out constantly, wanted her number, asked to accompany her to places. He boarded the 'hag' wagon very early - he did not like J insisting on wiping off her sindoor in the station, he was happy for people to consider him a couple, ever since their 'nakli' marriage every hug with Arshi had him thinking of J while hugging her, his extreme reaction to the thought of her and Rahul manipulating him, his saving his stained shirt even after their home help wanted to take it from him for his son, her bridal saree, there was this scene where his alter ego was teasing him abt why he could not let go of /jhanak...

To take it further, I feel a lot of what happened was meant to be interpreted dually, based on individual perspective...examples - their second wedding - he did nit like her saying their wedding was nakli, he did not want her to fight with him the day of their rasams, that Rahul could not say the mantras, he also tells her explicitly that day that tho ther are people in BH who dont like her, there are people who love her a lot and their eyelock, him getting her a ring and his reaction on seeing Arshi...V day - I feel Ani intentionally put the garland on J, the way he seemed to be taking stock of the room layout for the game I did not think he had that much interest to win with Arshi. Now if he did so then he has to be aware of his love??? The hospital part I'm not so sure - if he knew J was his nurse or not?, Holi day - while dancing he looks at her and says - he was dancing so folks would leave her alone and she will never know all that he did for her, every time she was leaving or a situation was developing that he could see would lead to her leaving BH, his brain was working OT to keep her with him. He was always aware he was prioritizing J over Arshi. Are we saying he still did not realize what he felt for her? The way he imagined her with him during his office dance performance, he applauded her performance, risked Arshi' wrath to get J to dance, wanted to go home to J than socialize with Arshi, he admiring her during the ad, standing behind the screen hearing J speak during the event post her ad shoot, during Adi shoot night fiasco, he had a monologue in his room that she destroyed all the plans he had for them, comparing her to Arshi, Their day trip to the bank, hotel, the whole V day follow up, his anger in the car while J mentions Rahul, Avinash wedding he was single a lovers song with his guitar. He knew he loved her but never thought J loved him and also knew he could not dump Arshi no mater what. He agreed to the Ashirwad right after coming from the shoot night and yet until the ceremony he was giving hopeful looks to J - this is when J was on her Sirji considers her as a charity case dialogs to Appu. Two scenes he is listening in to her saying to Appu there is no love between them and it was all out of Ehsaan. he even asks her ehsaan really and says he does not know what she wants after all. Ashirwaad day he clearly was hyper focussed on her, his slight movement towards her while Appu pushed them together, his anger at what she was doing, his worry at her leg getting hurt,...and all this till the leg patti night when he likely realized he was letting his life be directed by chance and maybe decided to make a play for J. If you see the scenes after that were all intentionally flirting from his side. Taking her to the dr., his request for a date, boldness is=n asking her to dress for him, his enjoyment of the date, provocative comments, confessing his need for her in the car ride, that he wanted to be the one she had umeed from, his preotection of her when they got back to BH - thats when he asked Shubo to disown him. Just as he got his hopes up, Arshi J confrontation brought J down to earth and since then she started to backpedal and gave him up and got further determined to leave BH. The bhukkar night, I'm convinced they were intimate, the way the makers have deliberately used the scene and dialogs has always been open for interpretation. Whether he distrusted her over the fire was also ambiguous. For me my theory gained more weight, when during his dream he tells J, he was hers the day no minute he saw her. People usually dont lie during their own dreams regarding the past...do they?

I pulled too many interactions to put my point forth, hope it was not too much :)

So this is my perspective - again I don't think most people read it this way Since you are open to seeing things in a diff light, my take is Ani fell for J first but kept it quiet in an unselfish way - always intending to marry Arshi and let j go, mainly because of her love for Rahul. J fell fro Ani seeing his softness towards the underdogs in Bh and his fierce protection of her. She accepted that he might love her when she left for Srinagar, but did not want to encourage it because she always beleived he would never break his tie with Arshi no matter what.

Both BH night when she was most rude and in Mumbai hotel night, she knew clearly there is no hope for them, and she wants to ease his burden for her and send him back to Arshi.

Remember when she pushed him away strongly in B/h and he went on the pathto make her jealous, her interpretation is that he was merely feeling responsbility for J and by her rudeness she set him free to enjoy his weddng with arshi whom she really believes he still loves no matter what he says. //between Tejas with his statements that Ani will never marry her over Arshi and her hearing Ani say he will always go back to Arshi no matter what, J is convinced, whatever pull he has for her, he and Arshi like a strong tree will never be felled down by any storm.

Yeh hopefully ! 🤞 but think about it showing confession from the both sides means less episodes … but half baked confession means they can drag this to any length ! And yes then it will come into EMA lol ! 😆 but it will also not because the marriage isn’t complete 😂🤣😅 sochate raho “iss pyaar ko Kya naam de!”

And that is why I want arshi to turn evil ASAP! This guilt tripping ani need to come to an end ! If jhanak confesses , I also want arshi to do something to hurt her or Ani … we are at her mercy because of these greedy writers 😖😠 they don’t know how to show a good story ! They are cooking any kind of crap just to keep the audience hooked .. right now audience is slipping away perfect time to show another Runak moment like in Kashmir , and that’s why I was taken aback with all this jhanak dialogues of “ani is my husband “ lol 😂

Makes me think are they cooking 🥘 a new bait for us ? give us hopes and extend the story lol! Storytelling ki kise padi hai ?

Doesn’t it also fit with what we experienced ..we want runak romance , but it’s in form of EMA … lol 😆 they make us not to wish for what we wanted before 😝

It kinda give away that RuNak’s misunderstanding will come to an end soon even if it’s slightly because the way Arshi reminded Anirudh that he comes to her when he is hurt by Jhanak and then goes back to her once the misunderstanding fades away.

So with the confession, I think Anirudh won’t think much regarding “where were you all this time?” He’ll understand better why was Jhanak incapable of confessing earlier. There were too many complications around her. Moreover, I feel she’ll tell him the main reason was his PDA and that he never really claimed the rights so openly. There are already too many unsolved misunderstandings we are dealing with so hopefully they’ll end this chaos soon and give us a break. Want some romance between the leads. Buht hogaya we deserve to see Anirudh giving reality to his dreams.

After all the kaands he has done and is doing, there is no way Ani can pin this on Jhanak.

He could have refused to marry Arshi, independent of J, when he knew h=he did not lover her.

It's not something J should push him too or for him to keep silent from Arshi.

Then we will have to wait for runak to be reborn … the love story will restart in the next Janam …

Adi’s role I think is a short term… in the beginning he said he is going to London in a week , but makers are good at forgetting their own dialogues… and now they are saying he is shooting a movie … he seems really interested in J , almost like trying to win her , so doesn’t look like he is in mood to give up. Arshi is the main villain and she is enough to keep runak apart .. so in that sense I don’t think Adi is here to stay for long term … but dekhate hai !

And if arshi turns evil … then main to arshi ke evil hone ka kab se wait kar rahi hoon !! 🍹
