Am not watching the show since some time but looking at this I think this was needed. This will free Jhanak from Ani’s debt - things he has done for her and will help her to grow as she has other people around her like RP and Adi.

Ani will also be free from Arshi’s guilt as she won and is back to normal. I think there will be a leap after this - Jhanak famous and Ani and Arshi living their individual life and be friends. Appu and Chotton married.
