Reality television has suddenly become the hottest thing on television in India, and game shows seem to be ruling the roost on most channels.

Even Amitabh Bachchan's much- acclaimed Kaun Banega Crorepati is returning to the small screen.

Here's a guide to some of the most happening game shows currently being aired on television (look at this space for a guide to talent shows next week!).

Show: Dial One Aur Jeeto
On: SaharaOne, Mon-Thur 8.30 pm
Host: Mandira Bedi
Bedi asks viewers general knowledge questions and waits for them to call in with the right answers. Even couch potatoes sitting at home can participate. Guess watching television finally paid off.
Prize: Rs 20,000

Show: Bluff Master
On: StarOne, Fri 8 pm
Host: Vinod Sherawat
Six participants have to lie and deceive to win the booty. The one that fibs most honestly will walk home a winner. Which other show allows you to win by lying through your teeth?
Prize: 10 lakhs

Show: Khulja Sim Sim
On: Star Plus, Fri 9.30 pm
Host: Hussain
It's a unique combination of luck, instinct and will power. It gives audience members and contestants a chance to play from one episode to the next for higher value jackpot prizes. The show tests your power to resist temptation, and ultimately make the right choice. There's also a guest celebrity on the show, to make it more exciting
Prize: 25 lakhs

Har Dil Jo Love Karega
On: Zoom, Sat 8 pm
Host: Dipannita Sharma
This celebrity game show has participants going through a series of rounds – dancing, singing, etc — trying to woo the celebrity on board. The winner gets to go on a romantic date with the star.
Prize: A date with India's top-notch celebrities

Show: New Antakshari
On: Zee TV, Fri, 8 pm
Hosts: Pallavi Joshi and Annu Kapoor
This new avtaar of Antakshari— one of the oldest running game shows on TV — has added a fourth team Anjane. There is also more audience participation since audience members can actually get in on the teams. And with a host of new rounds like – Ek Ka Paanch, Visual Round and Tring Tring round, there's enough opportunity to show off your Hindi music knowledge.
Prize: Prizes vary depending on the sponsors. But they go into lakhs of rupees
