What I think has happened is Mohit leaving was confirmed and there was a notice period before he left. In that they started reading public feedback and testing the waters and now they are intentionally confusing the viewers. Agar gaya to ok. Nahi gaya to they will say 'there was never anything official from us., it was all rumours.'

I don't know here or somewhere else I've already mentioned that mohit must be serving notice period. Becoz when actors themselves leave they have to serve notice period. I know show never gave importance to Neil...but itna to dimaag hoga na ki raaton raat gaayab Naa karde. To uske liye track to likha padega na
Also, it's better Neil's character should end. With Yash being in picture as a positive character and with a motive and dj also coming back, neil don't have any scope in story.
