Yes he cares for Arshi...All this overcompensation is due to his care and guilt as well...but this SR is definitely due to Jhanak....he understands that they are not believing him regarding Jhanak...they still look at Jhanak as a threat and don't wish well for her...so he doesn't care about his happiness and wish anymore...He has just surrendered and going with the flow....

When Bips started talks of Phoolsooja rasm he fakely smiled and just given up now for his family and Arshi. Didi can’t stand on her legs SR kya karegi .

But that's what is happening now..Isnt it??? Everytime he has opened his mouth to stop Arshi ,.it was only as a defence of Jhanak.Never for himself...He has surrendered...and assumed it as his fate. He knows he can't escape but he wants JHANAK to keep away from this mess...aas much as possible...
