FF- Pride & Passion (Pride & Prejudice Adaptation)

The Story is gonna be an adaption of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. P&P is one of my favourite stories and love Jane Austen's work. The backdrop of Jane's work is regency era but this story will be weaved in ancient India (can be assumed between 800-600 BCE).

Disclaimer- It's a fictional story in a fictional world not related to anyone living or dead person. Its a fictional story and open for creative liberties.

Character Sketch

Main Leads

1- Lakshavati (Elizabeth or Lizzie) - Daughter of small chieftain of a village. She is favourite of her father and lives with her father, mother and four other sisters. She is the second daughter in her family. She is closest to her father and elder sister, Janaki (Jane Bennett). Laksha is her small name and everyone closer to her calls her that.

2- Chandra Devshekhar (Mr. Darcy)- Only son of a Samant (Feudal Lord). His father is alive in the story unlike original. His nickname is Dev. He is best friends with his trader friend Basant Kumar. He is considered as haughty, proud and arrogant man.

A new story. Love it. Its always good to read your stories. You have a great style.

It will be fun watching Dev and Laksha butting heads with each other.

Second Leads-

Janaki (Jane Bennett)- Elder sister of Lakshavati and a very beautiful woman. She is kind, compassionate, soft spoken, elegant and naive. She is favourite of her mother who thinks her beauty will catch a rich man. She is closest to Lakshavati and the sisters share all secrets.

Basant Kumar (Mr. Bingley)- He's a wealthy trader who bought a huge land and home near Lakshavati's family. He is also very handsome but naive and emotional. He is best friends with Devkumar and holds his opinions and decisions in high regard. They have been friends since their schooling days.
