FK did a BW Hangama interview
Finally saw eeetttt.
Pros: visual masterpiece, top notch cinematography, every frame is a work of art and I love the whole surreal mystery vibe. Performances - first one I’ll have to give it to Salman and Khushal. It was mostly about the boy turned man who lost his love long ago. Fawad 2 also had a moving scene at the dining table with his dead mom. I think sanam and fawad 1’s time to shine will come later.
Cons: not for everyone. My aunt who I was watching with left halfway through the episode and I don’t blame her. It does require patience to power through but hoping the investment pays off in the upcoming story. 50 minutes is a bit much, they could have paced it better. Some lines/jokes also fell flat. And I was intrigued but not creeped out or anything. I was expecting to get spooked
He was great in this scene. So far he’s the most mysterious character for me. Among the family members. He didn’t lose time bringing up his dead mom either and his piece of work father not coming to her funeral 🤯
What your take on this kids scene? What's the need to show such things.
I feel you. Some bits did seem to add to the drag instead of being relevant to the story. There just for the sake of it. For me it’s not the scenes themselves but how the reduced the pacing. It wasn’t punchy and completely hooking because the build up was a bit slow. And these tiny scenes contributed to that.
The kid they casted seems good so far. I enjoyed the scene where he’s taking off his shoes right after finding out they’re standing on top of a graveyard
And his dads like wtf and he’s like will tell you later. This particular moment worked for me. Not the car ride one though.
The only issue I have with the modernized feel (and maybe that’s just me) is the overuse of English. On one hand yes it’s okay to show how they normally converse but idk Urdu is just such a poetic and impactful language that I feel scenes would have hit harder if they had stuck to classic Urdu. It would have added to the world building that was done.

Ah, I was waiting for your review to decide whether to watch it or not. I just wanted a confirmation that it has nothing to do with any religious or spiritual activity as it will go above my head. 😂
Hearing lots of praise for khushhal. No wonder!! I found him really good in mohabbat ghumshuda.

not religious but spiritual definitely. Lots of philosophy and symbolism
You can give it a shot or wait till few more episodes air. I think they should have given at least 2 together or released it all at once like Netflix because idk how many people will wait for it. Just from the views it’s obvious keh it will have specific limited audience.
First episode
'Intense' is all I can say

The problem is as a non-muslim , it's quite difficult for me to understand the philosophy and religious activities of Islam and symbolism tho will go above my head.
Someone here said it's like burari case ( mass psychosis), so I wanted the confirmation that it's not like that case.

Too early to say about but visions hain for characters. Old guy and his son both have it. Son is seeing his dead mom. And you’ll see many of the dead in that hotel. Ancestors as well as the wives.
Do check it out and tell me what you thought.
Asim is phunnie..
I definitely don’t want to marry any of these fictional characters in this particular show..
