Yes....

At this point there is no solid motivation in their life to jump into the battlefield and fight for their love...

Ani thinks he has already lost Jhanak..so now nothing is in his hand...he can only make sure that she is happy...and watch her getting sucess and apologize...and would not want to complicate her life.

Also I think he has surrendered to fate...he is just existing and flowing..so active action towards his feelings for Jhanak when he will see how happy she is in Mumbai ,woh nahi lega.. shayad..

And Jhanak will push him towards Arshi again...

Toh Aisa Ho Sakta hai...

So Abhi villains pe hi bharosa hai..only they with their evilness can bring them closer..
