Anirudh- I didn’t feel he was making an extra effort to pretend anything more on top of what he is already been doing. When I watched his police station scene, i kept yesterday’s scene as a continuation where both Appu and Ani were tormented about Jhanak’s arrest. I think why people felt 50/50 with Ani could be because the final verdict was already done and it was probably making him anxious and nervous whether or not J was guilty. However, I would doubt if he put any other effort apart from showing a pretense act in front of his family so they don’t make the case anymore ugly. He kept reminding them that police will take action and the culprit will bear its consequence of attempt to murder so that Shubo would not manipulate the laws and make it difficult for J. Mujhe bus yahan tak Ani ki effort nazar aye hai. That’s all he has done with limited time.

The whole credit to bail Jhanak out exclusively goes to Minu! ✨

I also want to enlighten Ani’s dialogues. He said: “Arshi ajaye gi aur adhooori shaadi pura karegi”

“Han sab normal hone main time lage ga, Lekin chahe Jo bhi hojaye main uska saath donga”

Note: He didn’t say “hum shaadi complete Karen ge uske ane ke baad”

Now that “adhoori” shaadi could be with anyone or in fact do not happen at all. He didn’t commit to it again. He just said he will support her towards her recovery. I don’t know how much we observed his dialogues but it indicated nothing towards AniShi.

Obviously it’s explicit the makers are deliberately trying to insert these dialogues for RuNak’s misunderstanding so that the couple fails to stay together. Perhaps in Mumbai they can rebuilt RuNak and leave the old remnants of their bitter-less sweet memories behind and establish a new bond and maybe unbreakable this time!

Tagged many, many others I couldn’t find. But please feel free to let me know whether we have some what mutual feelings or anything different from my POV

If we just watch it as an epiosde there is nothing beyond his concern for Jhanak and also his concern for hurt Arshi...

And only the muted conversation between the trio is a hint if we need to pick it...

But like said if we watched it as a continuation from yesterday , we can assume he wants her to be freed.

They are deliberately creating the MU as to take the story fwd

I agree with every single point of yours here. Ani is an innate protector, and he stands up for what is 'right', keeping aside any emotional attachments whatsoever.

With J, the order was protector Ani reigned supreme, followed by mentor/enabler Ani, followed by the lover !

He has stood up for the weak,numerous times, in the past, no matter who is in front of him! Be it for Jethu, Bodoma,Apu di, Chhoton against his own parents.

And of course he has stood by J on many occasions, even if it meant facing the music from his family and Shrishti/Arshi.

This time around, the weak is Arshi ! The misfortune that befell Arshi is apalling, unfathomable even! The state that Arshi has been redued to, from being a happy expectant bride, the feedback that the doctor provided about Arshi's condition, the fact that a mother whose daughter is in death-bed is claiming to have ankho-dekhi some one doing the deed - all of this has shrouded and clouded Ani's logical, level-headed and practical thinking capabilities!

He is 'blinded' by an 'overwhelming urge' to get justice for Arshi and crucify the wrong-doer in the worst way possible - he knows he cannot un-do what befell on Arshi, what's done is done, but he is trying to re-do what's right for Arshi , in the sense , by providing her with justice!

So he is NOT going to ALLOW himself to be SWAYED in J's FAVOUR , because he loves her ! An milder analogy would be - Indian parents, chahe pyar jitna bhi kare bacho se, jaha bache koi galti kare, dhar dete hai do jhapar Tab na yaad aati koi pyaar

We need to also remember that Ani believes what he sees at face value and circumstantial evidence. He saw AK in J's room in the middle of the night and jumped to his conclusions!

He WILL NOT ALLOW himself to be PARTIAL towards J. What he doesn't understand, is by taking the NEUTRAL stand, i.e. I will deem you guilty and not deem you guilty, till you are proven guilty, he is actually 50% bent towards J could have committed the crime - which is ofcourse death nail on RuNak, at least from J's end!

It is NOT a CLEAR STAND like Jethu - "I believe J can NEVER do such a thing". We also have to remember, with Jethu, Bodoma, Apu di and Chhoton, they love J unconditionally, and probably the equation they have with J , it comes easier to believe and support her effortlessly.

Also, take note of Vinayak - he stands up for what he thinks is 'right' against his wife, despite seeing the mis-fortune that his daughter has encountered! Some might argue, his good senses are shrouded, why is he not taking a stand for his own daughter?

With Ani, he has brought J in this mix, na J BH mein 8 mahine hoti, na yeh sab hota, so like Shirshti pointed out today, Ani is the root cause of this pachera !

All said - this is just the makers way to bring in the much needed MU and 'push' for J to leave BH. They could have done it in a better way, with out making Ani behave this way.

However, if Ani's character learns to 'trust' J or learns to NOT unnecessarily mis-trust J, from this experience, it would be some win ! But I doubt it ! Leena's characters are shown to never 'grow' and 'learn'!

It basically justifies J's statement, "Self-respect hai mera, agar kabhi kisi din kuchh aisa huya, ki someone's actions overruns my self-respect, that is the day I will leave" !

For J, Ani is her living- trigger, no matter who does what to her, it is Ani and Ani alone, that can bring out the extreme in J, in this case , propells her to leave BH!

The only other trigger that J has, is her dead mother ! She will come handy when her letter comes out!

Reading up all the posts on yesterday’s episodes

I am quoting this post which is a also reply to Vira76( sorry I don’t know your name) Sohini and you have summed up Ani so beautifully

that Ani will stand up for justice irrespective of who is involved is absolutely acceptable and believable…. And in line with characterisation of Ani

characters in a love story grow or regress in their journey. When the Kashmir track ended, these two had taken a few steps forward on this journey and once back in BH, several steps back

So the stage of MU was ripely set up…( jerkiness in execution aside) it wouldn’t have been amiss to see them apart and Ofc the story needed. a big bang trigger to make it happen

BUT WAS THIS TRIGGER CONSISTENT WITH THE NARRATION SO FAR?

Jhanak had literally forced him to honour his commitment to Arshi so why should Ani consider that Jhanak may have a role in this? This is a huge logical fallacy in the script. It’s not sitting well for me.

The only other way I thought Ani is thinking this way is if he thinks Jhanak is taking revenge on him for his behaviour with her in the last few days but then again he did not see Jhanak be repulsed; Au contraire, she was happily dancing and doing rituals in the wedding as far as appearances go.

Whatever it is, making Ani doubt Jhanak is the right trigger for Jhanak to move out of BH BUT IT IS THE DEATHKNELL of the gains of the Runak journey

for me, until there is greater clarity, the gains are all lost and a new journey begins
