This matter has been addressed in few of the ptv dramas before too but glad that now they bringing this topic again for awareness. Hopefully they will handle it well.

Not talking about this show specifically. Earlier there aired a show on ITV, Beintehaa. They showed the main couple planning a halala Nikah after the ML divorces his wife due to some misunderstanding. I was skeptical because of that. But the first promo cleared my confusion. Bilal's character seems to be a religious guy & he's saying that his prayers & fasts will go in vain if he becomes a part of the planning smiley19

Unfortunately, in ITV they have given misinformation regarding Halala Nikkah.

I feel MJ is treating the topic with the seriousness it deserves. Otherwise halala subplot has come in a number of tv shows since the 2010s but are usually treated cavalierly.

Maybe there is some old ptv show where it was addressed with seriousness but I can't recall per se.

Yeah, Do Remember ZYK, there they turned halala into a revenge story.

I remember watching a long play in my childhood (don't remember the name) there they had shown halala in better way. Tho, it's too sensitive matter.

Yeah from teasers, story is coming across exactly the way you have told.

Hopefully they will give a good message with this drama.

Haan. I usually avoid shows that revolve around a sensitive religious issue because of the execution. Let's see what are they going to show here.

it’s the same story. Abhi se pata hai kya end hoga lol

Sabeena’s role also seems repetitive to me. Writer director tou same hain hi, but her look and the story about being stuck between 2 husbands was just done by her. Bus language barrier aur contacts hataa ke 🤷‍♀️

But india mein tho iske upar bohot saare films hue Hein n I have seen this in shows too!!

IMO, emphasis on this topic is given in the films but story just gets botched up a lot. Execution goes super south.
