People are so obsessed with Arjun and Karn, two sides believing the either one to be stronger than the other. I don't like such comparisons for I believe that both of them were equal in terms of strength and power but the difference lied in the choices they made.
Like Ravana would have been a great King if he was not corrupt. Similarly, Arjun won over Karn's because Arjun chose the side of dharm while Karn made wrong choices and chose to side with adharm.'
Both the characters, no matter who their godly fathers were, they were human beings and they were flawed. One had more flaws than the other but this my fav is superior than yours is so weird to me.
Also, like I have mentioned before, I don't religiously follow any version, any adaptation of Mahabharat because there's always a writer's bias involved. Like, are you 100% sure that what Ved Vyas ji wrote was absolute truth? So many years have passed and who know how much changes did it go through?
Also, I like to question things and try to understand each and every point of view and adaptation. But people are always busy in playing Arjun Vs Karn game that they forget about the bigger picture and something called "Creative Liberties".
With all those adaptations that made Karn look stronger and a better warrior, did the writers force people to believe that this is the truth?
So if you have any complaints about Wattpad writers, movie and drama makers making Kauravs and Karn look good while making Pandavs look bad, why don't you write about what you feel the truth is instead of complaining and mocking? Who is stopping you?
I am writing this because there are a few comments on this thread that I don't like and if that makes you feel that I am more of Karn's supporter and all, that's not the truth.
I believe in grey shades, in flaws that every human being has. And in Mahabharat except for Krishna there was nobody who was 100% right or 100% wrongs.
Also, everybody deserves a chance at redemption. And I would love to see a redemption arc for Karn in this movie and a chance to see Arjun and Karn fighting against Yaskin/Kali together.
Okay bye!
P.S. The name "Karan" may look like it is based on the name "Karn" but, both of them have different meanings.
P.P.S. I am not going to comment on this thread or reply to anyone because I have better things to do than indulge in a Arjun Vs Karn debate because I don't believe that one was stronger than the other. The fact is that Arjun made better and good choices while Karn didn't.
Hi you don't have to indulge in any kind of debate, karna of course deserve redemption, krishna himself offered him an opportunity before Mahabharata so of course he does deserve it
We're just discussing about manipulating the authenticated text
If you don't want to talk about karna vs Arjun you don't have to do that you can Post something else as well as its movie discussion and I personally I enjoyed discussion with you
Yaskin is just a symbiotic representation of the asurasā¦he belongs to the class of Ravana, Kansa, etc.
Yeah Gandeev is definitely going to be used as a symbol of strength and power. Good plot device to make it interesting. That and the dhanda that Ashwathama was carrying around which he says will become powerful only in the hands of Karna. We already saw a glimpse of how it came into life towards the end of this part but I am sure we will see it more in the next part.
Yeah how does that danda got converted into Vijay Bow š
Also can't believe arjuna's Gandeev was Buried in kurukshetra š
Glorifying Karna happened because of NTR in his movie where he pushed the narrative of Karna as Shudra lower caste and glorified the friendship of Duryodhana and Karna. This was done as he was entering politics and wanted the lower caste vote.
Same thing was done by Rajnikanth and Mani Ratnam movie in the adaptation of Karna where Mammootty and Rajnikanth glorified the friendship of Karna and Duryodhana and Arjuna was sidelined.
The whole Karna twist was so unnecessary in Kalki. They could have used the whole Kala Bhairava or Parusharama, I mean why Karna would be reincarnated to get his lost glory or to pick the right side now

Never thought karna can be used for politics š
B- I really thought they're going with kaal bhairav angle but last mei karna nikle š
Agree though parshuram would've been amazing choice š„
First of all, To be able to draw so many parallels from Dwapara Yuga to Kali Yuga, Nag Ashwin first needs to get a team on board, if already didnāt have one, who have studied Mahabharata. The possibilities are countless but they also have to make sense at the same time be compelling.
