Self defense is enshrined in the Indian criminal laws. (Earlier IPC, now Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).

There are no statistics or evidence to show what that user is saying. Yes, the legal system has its fair share of problems. But some people have a habit of gross misrepresentations just to degrade Indian society and every aspect of it, in front of USA etc. Please don't fall for it

Dont blindly believe people who are constantly putting down India. Indian self defense laws are very clear and on par with developed countries.

This statement didn’t make any sense to me, you are in this house because of Samar - beti maanne mein aur beti hone mein bohot fark hota hai, Vanraj is not obliged to accept you and your partner but you very well have a choice to walk out of this house with dignity, taking away your son, saving your new husband from everyday humiliation.

But nahi, bechara Adhik jo khud inke ghar aakar keh ke gaya ke mujhe kisi ne meri behen ki shadi mein nahi bulaya, fir bhi Dimpy ne jhoothe muh hi usse invite karna zaruri nahi samjha, uss ladki se itne bade self respecting decision ki ummeed karna hi bekar hai, she has got accustomed to this house and her everyday maid duties, will soon train Titu too!
