I saw shaitaan some months back, and it didn't leave much of an impact on me.It dragged and the end was forgettable too.

Then I searched for the Gujarati movie shaitaan is a remake of,and it is so much darker than shaitaan,I am intrigued and want to watch it.In that the father(Ajay's character in Hindi one) inserts scissors inside his daughter's ears so she is unable to hear shaitaan's(madhavan's character) commands. In bollywood version the father has not had to take any such horrific step.In Vash, the mother and son of the family die while in shaitaan everybody stays alive. In Vash the daughter never goes back to being how she was before, she is in a mental asylum. In Shaitaan she is mentally sound in the end.

What would you guys prefer?Did you like the changes shaitaan's team made?

I would not mind the darker version! Anyway, enjoyed the movie. It was a good thriller!

BW version's second half was pretty bad though. Everything ended up looking too easy!

Erm hell no! the original movie sounds wayyyy too grim. There's darkness and then there's darkness. Give me the bollywood version any day, where things go back to normal after a close call with evil.

Besides, real life already overflows with enough darkness, you just have to look around. I don't need horror with no light at the end of the tunnel, leaving me with nothing but despair.

I liked the bollywood version better. The original one is darker and not to my taste.

Although BW's version is meh, I would still prefer it over the original one.. can't stomach such amount of darkness 🤕

Vash is the only good version.

It also showed sexual motives in the story which was removed coz it was Maddy being the villain
