Well no one is perfect. All r humans & humans tend to have flaws & behave recklessly in adverse situations arise. Rauli both have flaws & it's good to see both talking it out & deciding to work together. Now coming to ur point of Mauli not leaving him yes she wouldn't have left him but that doesn't mean the taunts & all the insults she was getting weren't affecting him. They were affecting him badly & he wanted to protect Mauli at any cost which made him take reckless decisions. Understanble cos when it's about loves ones ppl tend to forget any sense of rationality & go to extremely lengths for them.

That's what I have to say.

But he gave them more ammo. Say Rati was a goddess and divorced Rahul the same moment. Wouldn’t his family still call Mauli a home wrecker, the other woman, responsible for destroying Rati’s life, making their son do something so despicable, forcing her to leave because she is the affair partner? Has his step changed anything for Mauli except for making her situation worse and immoral?

Even after hearing everything they were spewing about her, did he not understand that their problem with Mauli was not just about a divorcee marrying a bachelor but a divorcee marrying their son?

I think my disappointment stems more from the fact that I expected better from Rahul. I always knew Mauli was going to be an annoying tape of family, family, family, but my hopes from Rahul were of better things.

Mauli was definitely right more than Rahul, especially in the current shadi scenario and the point has been almost proven through Manoj, Mauli Rahul themselves and even chachi ji and rohit who accepted that he indeed took a hasty step though they justified him with his reasons.

The point is that everybody knew Mauli can not be scared or pressurized to give up on Rahul but can definitely be emotionally blackmailed and exploited. Rahul at this point just wanted to marry her anyhow, by hook or by crook because he thought that nothing could be done once they are legally married. But we all know that was not going to be the case as long as they cosr to stay in MWG after it.

By society's standard Mauli and Rahul relationship are now going to be marked as an extra marital one i agree. Rahul is to be blamed here but just for trusting rati blindly otherwise if with her consent he married and divorced her immediate many of the things would have been at place except for playing with a holy rite like marriage.

Well let's just end the discussion of this marriage being farce or real for now & let things play out.

Seeing the situation now yes Mauli was definitely more right. The point is Rahul is accepting his mistakes & owning up to it that's what makes him different.

Agreed here. It's his protectiveness for Mauli that kicked in seeing her bearing all the taunts & insults & he took hasty decisions to marry her anyhow. As after that no one could separate them & I've pointed this out earlier too.

Totally Rahul is to be blamed only for blindly trusting DN.

Exactly he was naive. His desperation resulted in his naivity. Yup it is irritating agreed.

"their problem with Mauli was not just about a divorcee marrying a bachelor but a divorcee marrying their son"

Very much aptly put. It is here that Rahul failed to understand his family. May be if he had married an even worse girl and then created this drama or st least have a calm conversation to understand what exactly his parents want could have helped.

I actually left watching DMG when the new gen was introduced because they ruined AR, RM and NA for no reason before that. Only watched 4 episodes in the middle (save Sid instead of Armaan from going into the gas chamber room thing and the locker room conversation after that) and the last episode. A lot of viewers left the show if I remember correctly. Anyway, if you want to reminisce older AR days, read The World’s Oldest Story by Zephyr if you haven’t already. It’s incomplete but it’s so worth it and her Armaan is probably my book boyfriend forever.

Sorry for the tangent 😂

I was talking about the second marriage with Sid. She did it willfully but was thinking of Armaan all the while.

Will definitely try reading the story.

No probs I was the one who bought it in 😂😂

Yeah exactly no point of stretching this debate without any strong clue in favor or against it.

Exactly in fact his cute conversation with Manoj yesterday has saif it all that he accepts whatever wrong he committed and will face the consequences too.

Yeah i know.

👍

Was he? He was present at home right much before Arti began right? Quite possible that he must've hired someone.

Yes after rati Rahul conversation and final hug was not he present at back showing a thumbs up to Rati. Am too confused now because they have shared so much of thumbs in just a span of 2-3 days. Will check it out. Yes he was there before aarti so he must have hired someone to execute the plan on his behalf
