Pundit-ji ko photo show kiya and he believed them? How can they show such stuff on television ? After she wakes up and starts arguing also pundit-ji was eating popcorn and watching the drama. And at the end when they were all blaming Mauli then also he did not say anything.. Like he literally saw her object to the marriage then why could he not stop the marriage at that time or say what really happened in front of the family?

Actually the message was opposite I think that's why they showed Mauli protesting and the marriage could not complete. The audience can learn the consequences repercussions of such an act but some of them may inspire in a wrong way and start justifying this immoral act.

Pundit ji was of course another surprising element but I think more than popcorn he was just busy in solving his own confusion ki aaj dakhsina milega ki nahi milega🤣(on a lighter note)

But seriously there is nothing to justify in pundit's behavior may be he too was unsure how to act and respond.

This reminds of Shakti where also ML faked her marriage with her best friend for some reason. But that girl was truly his best friend and herself supported him in this manner to solve the problem.
