I think he’s shooting for Sikandar. So maybe he just couldn’t change his schedule. This was a relatively small gathering and more than likely invites were sent out in recent weeks. So everyone couldn’t make it.

As for her brothers, that’s a shame. You don’t have to agree with your sibling’s life decisions but you still show up and let her know you love her no matter what. This attitude of my way or the highway with regards to someone else’s life is disgraceful.
