I think the leap is lit. The makers prob felt Ishan became too much after the slap. If you check out the producer's bit in the cast's cake-cutting IV, he said there wasn't much left to explore after the love confessions, which I get. Like, what's left in any show after confessions, consummation, misunderstandings, divorce, and a kid? Then comes the gen leap. Ishan's fam was hella toxic, and the show got way too much. I don't think Ishan and Savi even had any cute moments together, just them. At least with the YHM copy, Raman Bhalla's fam wasn't that bad, and neither was his mom. So, Savi will get better in-laws this time around with the second chance love.

Ishaan and Reeva looked like made for each other , there was no real Ishvi moments and on top of that Bosales were too toxic
