He might have not saved her from all the insults his family did to her .But at any point he didnt have any physical advancements towards her .They were most of the time few yards apart. Then from when and where did he ever show that he wanted her as a mistress .

The talk about Arshi is to convience Jhanak to come with him to kolkata . Because he knows Jhanak wont give in to his demand or condition as she always keeps Arshi ahead of Jhanak .

I am sure he will have plans to address Arshi , taking it forward . Its not that he doesnt want to break with her . She makes it impossible for him most of the time , with her I dont want to come in between you and Arshi .

He did say he will rent her a home , would that be more immoral , than taking her to his home where his family lives.

All ready the entire social circle and neighbours know about Anirudh and Jhanka's married , all thanks to Tejas for exposing it in a party and then a marriage with Jhanak in Kolkata . In Kashmir Anirudh is Jhanak's husband .

Snatching Anirudh from Arshi is out of question .

Ani definitely confuses us with his own confusion...but but not even once his intention towards Jhanak can be questioned....

He has always maintained a dignified distance with Jhanak...they have spent so many times alone...but he never took any advancement towards her...never tried to manipulate her and get physical with her..not even a hug...a very special hand holding also happened on 300 episode..

When it comes to Arshi , Ani never thought it will reach to this extent. But since it has reached, he is leaving and giving enough hints to Arshi that Jhanak will always be an integral part of his life. In fact she already is.

Indirectly, by doing that probably he wants her to understand the depth of his and Jhanak's relationship so that she breaks the marriage. That was at least what I felt he was doing...Now about why making the girl break the alliance and why not him? In my opinion...Well..that's what Ani is..a very emotional, considerate human being..a good son, a passionate lover and a good friend. He considers Arshi his friend and cares for her..& it's better and good for a girl's future mental stamina if she breaks off a relationship and not the guy...& He gets it...he would rather be accoused as the bad guy and let Arshi break up...than breaking up with her...

Also he is dealing with his own issues that stems from his conditioning.he is confused regarding his life and emotions.his actions might be right or wrong...but his intentions are not wrong..

About him being spineless.... I believe you need a spine to be irrevocably in love with someone...still behave platonically as you are not sure of the other person's feeling...you definitely need a spine to put everything at stake,keep life hanging with uncertainty & take such huge risks for someone whom you don't know what your future is gonna be....

About Arshi....it is very difficult to sympathize with Arshi...why would we sympathize with someone who is happy to sell off a 22 years old young woman so that her non-existent love story will be fulfilled., specially that woman is her cousin.& she knows that it is non-existent...she doesn't love him also...the way she disrespects and character assassinate him in front of everyone...it is anything but love....

And their hug were consentual....Jhanak could have pushed him away... slapped him...but she caressed him..hugged him back... which shows she also craves for him as much as he does....

They deserve happiness...

I agree maya ! Anirudh is not a womanizer … I didn’t have that impression about him for a second ! He had way too many opportunities to display such behavior. He is disgusted by jhanak’s father , he doesn’t want jhanak to ever have any relation with him … just shows how much he cares for him and how much different he is from guruji! And most important thing , he cares way too much for jhanak to do something like that to her. Currently he is selfish for keeping jhanak around her and he is acknowledging that… but given what he is going through little selfishness is only human ! But once he marries Arshi , do I think he will want jhanak romantically ? No … not a chance. He just wants her in his life in any capacity she find comfortable
