Anirudh just let it happen , he didnt hesitate to express that the night will remain forever within him. He can break the marriage and face family and society . He hast the mental strength for it. ( When Arshi called him, he expressed it , I am fed up of this ) .From the time Jhanak left to Kashmir he is doing everything for her . He didnt allow anyone to tarnish her respect . Right from refusing to remove the ring , stating it would be insult to Jhanak 's gift , calling himself characterless , accusing Shristi of helping Tejas , he is doing everything for her specially in her absence . He knows if she was there she would revolt and so he does it for her sake . He makes sure she is defended in her absence .It is done purposely by him .

Its all about Jhanak and her dignity ...

I hope Jhanak reciprocate his love and give him the needed strength to accept them infront of the world , than being a sacrificial girl...

He might have felt embarassed or even guilty to an extent , but not ashamed . He didnt do anything wrong in hugging her or asking for a hug . He confessed that he loves her .The thankyou Jhanak conveys it , and also he initiated the talk . ( He wouldn't thank her , of he was ashamed )

The calm tone , blank eyes of him and the monologue of Jhanak it all leads to their desire to be together , which looks impossible to them .

If it should happen it will/ would happen as they were chosen by the universe .

agree because before Kashmir they were not touchy touchy at all , not even holding hand or arm touch wala physical touch ( they have hardly touched each other in Kolkata ) ....this will change now ... Ani will become more touchy with Jhanak , he won't hesitate before pulling her arm or pulling her towards him

Yeah, before Kashmir track it was always accidental touches...

But now their equations has changed..

It's true that Jhanak is not letting him inn...She has her own reasons too...

Ani has done all these things for Jhanak jo ki Apne se bhi apna na kare for anyone..but calls it zimmedari and insaniyat..What if Jhanak bhi bol de ki it was insaniyat...

We fear that someone, who loves us so deeply that they can see through us. Jhanak embodies that person, who saw Ani emotionally naked, at a junction where he has nothing else to give...He confessed his deepest feelings to her...that he is scared to share with himself as well...now what... now he is soo vulnerable that she chooses one wrong word, it would trigger and he would fly off his own hold. Also choice of words has never been Jhanak's strength anyway...if he owns up to last night..he is defenceless...

So may be it is his defence mechanism..is it right? Debatable...but I can understand him...

bold: i also think physical intimacy is needed at this point... you love each other.. in your minds you respect your marriage... physical intimacy will naturally flow... and that is what we need to wake them up now!

bold2: i agree... i actually wish for them to show kiss scenes, nothing wrong with it... there should not be a taboo on it. It's a natural thing when you are in love with someone and it needs to be normalized. But we are still very far from that era i think!

I also saw the little sick kid in Anirudh, that has been hidden behind the stoic facades of a matured, responsible, level-headed gentleman, that demanded all the love, care and attention from the only one who he truly considers to be his own !

His heart, broken, for many years now, craved to be engulfed and soothed only by the warmth that J's embrace and touch could provide ! It has a healing effect on him more than paracetamols !

I saw a kid throwing a tantrum, just coz he is sick, maybe he never really got a chance when he fell sick as a child.

This was just him clinging on to his life, longing for the night to never end!

Which is why he checked first thing next day, did I make you uncomfortable J, goes with his character for the past 200 epi s, where he has maintained a safe distance always , never once feeling the urge to cross the limits !

He didn't check with her during the bday night, as she was right in front and he could see in her eyes whether she wanted to resist or give in! Last night, he was sick and probably vaguely remembers, that she resisted!

Side Note - I personally would not judge him, if he ever felt a physical need for J, like he did during his bday epi, following which he could not bring himself to hug Arshi coz that made him uncomfortable and probably felt like cheating J !

Coz emotional and physical compatibility are two sides that sail a relationship, you cannot have the first with out the second, unless this is a platonic relationshipp they are headed for. With the kind of love he has for J, he is bound to have the physical need too.

In the bday epi, J felt a physical tug too, which is completely natural and expected as well !

Plus, if anything, a physical connect would help bridge the gap !

Lastly, it gives me hope of iTV coming of age and telling stories, the way they need to be told

By jhanak itself. Ani is not the person who read too much into eyes and understand for him words are important . So even he feels that jhanak has feelings he want her to say loud and clear to get the clarity and then only he can take some steps to clear the mess. As of now first priority is getting her to den and then we will get some clarity what ani would do in future episodes to make things happen in his way. I am sure makers will not show ANI 100% clear till last point to keep the curiosity

I am having mixed feelings after the episode. Does Ani really mean he will do the farz by marrying Arshi (while being completely in love with J) or is it just to convince J to take her to BH? It sounds immoral if we just go by the dialogues - getting married to someone but asking someone else to be with him at the same time. That's not what I expect from an ML.

If I totally ignore what he is saying, I want to believe that it is his plan to take her with him and make her reciprocrate her feelings and make her his official wife - not nakli shaadi or ek din ka husband wife.

you are right... He opened his heart to her without any filter and showed all his vulnerabilities...

he is still gauging what Jhanak thinks of him now after all that happened... If he tries to hold on to her now when she is not ready, he will chase her away but if he acts completely oblivious he will just come out as well .... so he kind of mentioned it but also did not... as always clever Ani
