The scenes are so well written and performed. Most importantly the story has its heart at right place and that is conveyed to us through the screen perfectly.

Here's my guess for what we might expect next 
Meenu will save her friend and possibly the child for which the politician family will arrange a programme to recognise her handling of such a desperate situation and she will ask him instead of rewarding her to arrange for a proper doctor for the village paving the way for Dr. Nofel's arrival. Nofel might be given this as a "punishment posting".
As for the rishta, I think Meenu will find a way for the lawyer to break it off.
