I wish they added some likes as well
Gms trps are discussed more because it was marketed as the biggest drama of 2024 plus it was said that it'd get 10+ trps.
Zard wasn't hyped like this, inspite of it being a successor show of im we knew that considering its subject and theme it wouldn't get high ratings.
Jn is going down because it's been stretched like a rubber band, with same thing happening in all the 3 episodes.
Gm was over hyped that's why it's ratings look underwhelming but the other two weren't that hyped.
All dramas I watch get good TRPs so there's that maybe they should try and appeal to me.
Promotions are tricky like that Karan Johar said that he promotes movies when he knows he didn't do well but promotional campaign don't guarantee a big hit
I am not watching any drama which is currently on air, I am taking advantage of my Netflix subscription
The other day Jay Soni said that casting directors cast actors on the basis of their social media followers, weren't there similar complaints from PTV?
Yes ShehNoor ki taraf se

It's true for PTV as well. Lately a lot of influencers are getting projects because of their social media fan following.
I can understand why some actors buy fake followers.
I personally was hurt because my prediction was wrong. I did say that it was going to get 10+ TRPs & 20M views. I thought Humayun will bring in the TV audience & Yumna will take care of online views.
It only tells that actors don't have a dedicated audience which is looking up their content. What works is story and believe it or not a love triangle between 2 women and 1 man and some toxicity is biggest hit machine
It is working in India for last 4 years and youtube views depend on Indian audience, 1-2 million must be a lot for PTV but even small clips of Indian dramas get those numbers everyday and youtube isn't primary source of income for them but it is for PTV

Unfair practice
Acting should be primary criteria for judgement, many good actors continue to struggle while Instagram influencers take their place

True. It's the story at the end of the day that makes a show work.
Every other ITV show these days has the same story. Starplus alone has three shows with the same plot.
ITV channels earn more from their OTT apps by releasing episodes earlier, before their air time. PTV shows lately are the most watched shows on YouTube all because of Indian & Bangladeshi audience.

PTV industry seems obsessed with YouTube views these days. Except some renowned directors they hardly care for acting.
