For some of the ladies, definitely not for me. I needed more of his inner turmoil, monologues, and emotional state in order for me to be convinced.
Less than an average episode for me!
Agreed. There was more turmoil when Jhanak was leaving Kolkata last week....
The only benefit of doubt I'm giving him now is that he's not really had a chance to reflect on it. He's been on autopilot since his family got to Kashmir. They came, announced the wedding, and next thing you know he being dressed up for the mandap. It's all too much, and this just the day after Jhanak got kidnapped and was forced to marry Tejas. So from that perspective it's a lot for someone to process, and Ani has not had any moments to himself to question his feelings or actions. For now he's brushing it all under the carpet and going with the flow.

Correct. Shristi can go any extent to make her daughter win this competition of winning Ani as husband.

So I finally watched the last three episodes, and despite the low expectations I found myself still disappointed. Here are my thoughts...
Runak - a forbidden lovestory?
So I didn't mind the conversation between Ani and Rahul. Even though Ani was pretty much forcing Rahul to getting married to J, there were instances where they connected due to their mutual feelings for Jhanak. And listening to them both discuss Jhanak's career and how capable she is, that was quite nice to see.
However, after Rahul leaves, the façade is gone and Ani looks utterly broken. He says, despite his feelings he can't keep Jhanak close to him in this lifetime. But why not?
To me it looked like the makers were trying to make Runak's love story seem 'forbidden' with a teary eyed Ani momentarily yearning Jhanak's love. But I'm sorry - This is not a forbidden love story. Forbidden might be say, a single mother falling in love with young guy, or something which some parts of the society still find taboo. But for Runak, from my POV, there is no such thing! There is a class difference, yes. But these two are literally married! They can legally live with and love each other, and other than emotional blackmail from the family, there is no legal and minimum societal pressures. Runak are apart purely because of forced MU, so this 'forbidden love' angle seemed OTT and overdramatic to me.
Arshi seeking trust in a their relationship
Beat me all you want, but in that moment when Arshi looked at Ani and asked for trust to be maintained in their relationship, there was a part of me that felt bad for her. I'm saying this purely from the POV of a young woman, moments before her wedding.
Ani couldn't even hug her back. How the hell was he planning to spend his entire life with her?? Despite what their relationship has turned into now, there may have been a time when they were good friends/lovers and genuinely cared about each other. At least for the sake of that Ani should have told her the truth about his feelings, regardless of whether J loved him back or no! I am not a fan of Arshi, however, today Ani in his sacrificial mode is ruining three lives. If he made it clear to Arshi that he doesn't love her (unfortunately in this case, words speak louder than actions) then she would back off. But he keeps convincing her that he wants to get married , and Arshi even though she probably knows this may not be a 100% true is holding on in hope that what Ani is saying is the truth. Call it being gullible, stupid or just in denial, either way, Ani is the primary reason why they've gotten this far - till the mandap!
Jhanak loves to be a doormat
Jhanak has just found out that Shristi helped Tejas in her kidnapping, and despite that she's being so polite and letting Shristi and others say crap to her! Like why??? Do you have no self respect, Jhanak?? Because of Shristi she was so close to marrying Tejas, and after that her life would have been a living hell. She would have been mentally and physically abused every single day! And Shristi showed no remorse! Forget Ani, I wanted J to react more strongly because it was her life at stake there! But no - she was politely inviting Tanuja and Shristi into her room when they asked her to join them for the wedding. And even at the mandap the two ladies were trying to gauge Jhanak's feelings on seeing Ani getting married and talking rubbish (even though some of it was true), and Jhanak was politely entertaining to them. Seriously? I wish Jhanak had asked them to shut up and gone back to prepare for her exams! Honestly, that scene was sooo exasperating to say the least! The titular character needs to be inspiring, specially when thousands of other young girls may be watching this show, but Jhanak unfortunately is far from it.
Agreed with the last part!
..........
Jhanak shouldn't act so mellow and realize her worth. She should become both mentally and emotionally strong so that no one can harm her at any cost.
Since, she is young, naive, innocent, and has no one to guide her, which causes her to lack dignity and have low self-esteem after facing immense torture and mental abuse. Her thinking ability has been severely affected, allowing her to further exploit herself without knowing the after effects.
Indeed, she will emerge as a strong person after facing various life challenges throughout her unfortunate journey, leading her to value her existence. All she lacks now is moral and friendly support, and I hope Anirudh will become her best friend first rather than a possessive lover.
...............
Anirudh, on the other hand, though strong in multiple aspects, lacks emotional intelligence and the ability to foresee the consequences of his uncalculated risks, such as his wedding with Arshi. If he cannot even touch her now, what will he do after the wedding? Will there be any further excuses for him to justify his actions?
The only significant reason for his spontaneous acts is to keep telling lies, which subconsciously lets him believe that he can convince anyone using his manipulation power to achieve his desired outcome.
In reality, however, he becomes foolish and clutters the lives of others associated with him. Furthermore, I know that he does not have a strong bond with his parents, from whom he could receive guidance to differentiate between what is ethically right and morally wrong. Choton, on the other hand, always remained selective when knocking some sense into Anirudh.
............
Therefore, both leads need some real guidance and moral support to drive efficacious results in their favor. Nonetheless, they will keep tangling their already messed-up lives.
I really hope they will realize the value of their sacred relationship, talk sensibly, and try to figure out the actual issues instead of uttering nonsense and misunderstanding each other. Jhanak, please come out of your sacrificial mode, as you are already aware of your aunt's immoral actions now and don't act childishly as your wedding is already declared pure and sacred infront of everyone! ❤️
We need one with Ani & Jhanak like this

Agree.. The third part have irked me as well. I am not sure why she is being so polite to them. She is not staying in their house nor have to do anything with them. She should have shown string reaction on what they did with her and not let them speak any shit to her. But she is being extra soft, I am not sure why???Originally posted by: Bubblez04

Okay, this is for Bubbleji's question regarding J not having self esteem.
I think she is staying mum primarily because it's about Ani's shaadi right now and she doesn't want to create obstacles in it. She genuinely does wish the betterment for her sister as she thinks somehow her change in character is a result of things that had happened. Remember how Arshi was initially sweet? First impressions tend to make a strong impact. I feel J does not understand that Arshi was primarily like this and not a person who changed because of circumstances. Just like Ani. Both need some kind of rude awakening to understand Arshi for who she is and how low she can stoop in fear and insecurity and that it's not something that can be changed by them.
I also think she feels indebted to Ani in some way. So she thinks okay if I stay silent, things will go back to the way they were. Ani loves Arshi anyways, so this marriage is what is supposed to happen. After exams, I can stay in Kashmir or if I go back to Kolkata I will not be the one with the "Wife tag" which will significantly ease people's worries.
… he knows she keeps her eyes on him so he can’t even go to Jhanak in alonejust for fun created this..
