Kartik responds about a negative campaign

I hope he gets more movies. He is mentally very strong. It is not easy to sabotage him.

He’s doing what he does best, reminding everyone that he’s an outsider.

He’s constantly busy and getting offers. His movie with Kabir Khan is about to release. After that he’ll work with Anurag Basu. He will very likely work with Bhardwaj and then after that possibly with Barjatya. He seems to be Bhushan Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala’s favorite. If someone is trying to sabotage him they’re doing a very bad job of it.

The biggest PR of Kartik is that there is a negative PR being run against the 'outsider' and uss per Kartik ne tadka daala....oh I have no one to speak for me....no family members no one.......

Bus main toh aise he romantically link kar diya jaata hoon with every star kid from Sara to Ananya to Jhanvi.....such a sad life....Babu...thana tha lena....

He may be over doing it but he does have a point about him not having a family in the business who go around talking positive things about him lifting him up or backing him up..Look at the likes of Ranbir in comparison. While he puts up a so called humble front, his family and the entire industry mollycoddles him and his failed movies. Remember how Sanjay Dutt made a long post on his instagram about how Shamshera’s disaster wasn’t on Ranbir? Obviously he was trying to protect him as he was having another big release right around that time. Do you think there is anyone to protect Karthik, Ranveer, RKR, Vicky, SId etc like that when their movues don’t work?

This is exactly what happened to Sushant. With so many unnecessary blinds. Digs on KWKI think Kartik has mentally prepared himself that he is here to get work and not please anyone. Good for him.

He also needs to remember that he is an outsider and how Bollywood treats an outsider. I am glad he is getting big projects.

Bhushan Kumar seems to be much smarter with the kind of films that he gives him. BB3 is definitely going to be a hit at the very least , and might even end up being in the top 3 grossers this year. (Will be quite an irony for him to have his biggest success and failure the same year. Hopefully that takes the sting out of CC's failure a bit for him and gives him something to cheer about.)

The next movie is that ashiqui one. They can't use the name due to IP issues, but I am sure they'll have "ashiqui" in the title and remind everyone that it is some kind of spiritual sequel. Only other thing it needs are hit songs and he is set for another hit with T-Series next year.

I have my doubts about Sajid Nadiadwala sticking to Kartik for too long after Chandu champion tanks. That Vishal Bharadwaj film is not even confirmed. VB doesn't even have a good BO record of late. Seems doubtful that Sajid will bet on Kartik and VB on a high budget film so soon after CC's failure. Also, that production house sucks at promotions. What they've ended up doing with CC is terrible. Sabotaged whatever little prospects it might've had.

I don't understand how exactly is kartik supposed to answer these questions? I saw the entire bit and he tried his best to keep dodging it. He might do a lot of other things for PR which annoys ppl, but his stance on some things, like maintaining a "no comments" regarding d2, has been consistent since the beginning.

He is also not wrong when he says he doesn't have his family talking on his behalf. There's nothing there that's said to get sympathy. It's just very matter of fact. He also took a while to even come out and say that. If you see the interview, most of his response was "I don't want to revisit an old piece of news again".

Well, no one gets mollycoddled as much as Ranbir, not even other nepo babies. And yes Kartik is an outsider who made it on his own. No doubt about that at all. I also agree that outsiders don’t have family or family friends who will speak up for them and protect them. I just don’t believe that anyone is sabotaging Kartik at this point. Not when he’s established his strong connections with Nadiadwala and Bhushan.

He has a very aggressive PR and that’s fine and dandy, even necessary given that he is an outsider who has to fight his own battles. Problem is his PR goes overboard in every way, from comparisons to SRK to link up rumors to costars to still pretending to be the underdog.

Bloomers, yes he has stayed silent with regard to his fallout with KJo. As far as I know, even his PR didn’t release anything articles at the time about this. As for the questions being asked of him now, I’m pretty sure questions or at least topics are discussed with stars and interviewee before each interview. Stars almost always have the upper hand and can demand a question not be asked at all. So if he’s being asked more than likely because he wants to be asked so he can remind people that he’s an outsider.
