I feel both teams the way they batted they tried their best to lose

Apart from Nissanka and Hridoy, most of them struggled, the pitch wasn’t even that bad! Those 2 actually batted well.

But bowlers were brilliant! Bd bowlers came back strongly after conceeding 54 off 6 overs and restrict SL to 124, and SL bowlers did almost everything they could to defend 125.

I think reason why Shanaka was given the 19th over was cause he actually took wickets vs BD in crucial matches, like Asia Cup. He knows BD batters well. But the thing is they should have given overs earlier, not an easy job to defend 11 off 12 in 19th over.
Mahmudullah proved why he is a big match player, managed to keep calm and bring the team to winning line. His WC stats is more impressive than Shakib’s actually.

He almost threw his wicket unnecessarily

And then other batsmen just came to score only few runs

Bangladesh team was doing well

Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy partnership was good

But suddenly they lost some wickets and it became thriller

SL bowling was to the point

But Wanindu leaked 18 runs

Then Thushara did good

And it's not easy to defend 11 runs that to in 2 overs even though wickets lost

Mahmudaalah is a good player, most of tge times consistent
