Why is she telling madhav to get up and stop the wedding..she being her mother's daughter should wish madhav to stay in hosp. bed untill her motives are fulfilled right ? Am I missing anything ?

That is where my problem is- it was understandable when timid girls like Gopi fell hopelessly in love (I dont know if she did but giving example of character

) but I cant relate when these modern day relatable characters who are about to be lawyers and doctors or IAS- are loosing their senses like this for man who is worthless.

RN I see no reason for this hopeless love after so many insults- Ruhi angle na bhi ho she should start to snap out.

Yes, Sanjay Bansal confessed to her and tried to emotionally manipulate her to keep quiet until marriage is over/court grants the actual divorce.
