One issue i have with all the dialogues meant to compare and contrast Ruhi vs Abhira is that one character is referred to as being "perfect", "acchi" etc. whereas the other is supposedly flawed, immature, seemingly wrong but still "right for Armaan"

This bothers me.

Armaan-friend convo mein he said my wife is very acchi but i miss my ex who i used to find flaws in. Krish says do you want perfection.

These things suggest that Ruhi is some ideal person, perfect, right etc. But No one is perfect. No one is ideal. And definitely not Ruhi. She's not written as some wonderful, mature person

She's selfish, manipulative, and immoral. So even if we say perfect refers to the template of bahu that Kaveri seeks- even per that Ruhi doesn't actually fit. Because she doesn't genuinely care about family, family izzat- she only pretends to. She doesn't follow all the rules. She merely hides her rule breaking well or makes others take the fall for it

So the constant glorification and becharification of Ruhi is infuriating.

Her true colors need to be seen.

I wish these conversations had gone along the lines of suggesting that "all that glitters is not gold" because thats what fits Ruhi.

Agree that its frustrating as a viewer that every single character is too dumb to find any imperfections in PL's personality. This is the trope that most IndianTV follows where antagonist's "nakli surat saamne aaye, asli surat chupi rahe" for the longest time possible. Even when their faults are discovered, they are forgiven much faster than FL.

Infact sometimes theres total amnesia and no consequences.

I don't watch a lot of itv but i have seen ghums1 which yrkkh heavily borrows from- and there the vamp was never called out. She got away with crimes also .

When I started watching this gen, I was told by many longtime viewers of yrkkh that its worth sticking to the show because apparently these makers are supposed to be more "balanced" in their approach.

And so far all I see is there is less toxicity but the tropes are the same. FL ko saare dukh and baakiyon ko koi consequences bhi nahi for their actions. These guys also start parallel plots only to abandon it and drag the triangle cringe.

Cant they show angst without triangle.

For example in current plot, even without a Ruhi they can show Armaan craving Abhira but unable to defy his grandma to keep her in his life and Abhira struggling to make ends meet etc. they can still serve the intensity and emotions of pain, separation, longing etc. drama toh phir bhi hoga. Triangle ke bina bhi.

100% correct. But Ruhi is perfect by Kaveri standard. Kaveri herself is the epitome perfection. And we all know how calculative and vile and ill mannered she is. So when they give those dialogues they are referring to a different metric system

But even by Kaveri standards she has not met every requirement.

Kaveri doesn't even know all her kartoots.

So this whole "perfect bahu" thing is a joke.

She's not done anything by going out of the way for anyone.

But Kaveri gives Ruhi a long rope for the mistakes she did make because she is her pasand. But everyone can see that partiality. Infact Vidya and Manisha have even called it out because it was so blatantly partial.

Kaveri just like BK of ghums1 has conveniently flipped from being a conservative matriarch to not so conservative only in the matter of SIL-BIL ka rishta and shaadi.

Baaki har maamle mein she's regressive but she's cool with widow bahu marrying her BIL. Wow! 🙄

Lol! Has the Armaan bashing for the day started yet? also I forgot that Rishta never cuts the dances of all the characters.. they fully make use of all the costumes given to them! aur abhi tho cousins ka dance baaki Hai?

Also, I think Ruhi's I love you was more of a thank you for listening to her Dil Ki baat and firing Abhira from the job i feel she will even say it.. and Abhira will hear that too! That he fired her for Ruhi's happiness

I didn't watch the episode. Only read the update and saw few scenes.It felt like a filler. I thought the deal would be revealed on the wedding day as the major drama will unfold at the mandap. Armaan not confronting DS right away was something i knew would happen so I'm not madbut I'll be pissed if they don't give us Armaan's breakdown at mandap because the way things are going it all looks like a buildup for that. He needs to confront the family on the wedding day. Also i think I've said this before but i liked that it was him who fired her and not that selfish brat. I have a feeling that those pictures we saw is Abhira's dream that she will imagine while leaving the PH

Tomorrow's episode is going to be the dream, abhira leaving the house, Abhira-Armaan's confrontation, Ruhi following armaan and taking him to his special place, their date and Abhira witnessing them.

Also Abhira mentioned that she will leave udaipur once the wedding is over. Interesting. So can we still expect a manchala moment

Or is she going to just bring Madhav back
