I loved the confession scene, but it would have been better if it had come right after their dance to a romantic song and in a romantic setting. This would have elevated the confession scene.
It's more like an outburst or breakdown than confession..That's why may be

Armaan 1.0 was too young/emotionally immature to be UD's top lawyer. When Armaan 2.0 was introduced, RP brought a certain level of seriousness but no spine/strength. In fact, Armaan's personality is very badly defined. He is shown as emotionally damaged robot. He could have been a person who has his own will & backbone. Kaveri need not to have so much control over him, rather he could have been detached from PH politics. This whole toffee hungry ~30 year old male is laughable. Its been 200+ episodes and he is yet to take a stand against anyone including Charu/Ruhi in the family except Sanjay Bansal.
ya RoPu looks more "mature" and like a successful lawyer but he is coming across as a person who basically uses Abhira as a punching bag for every issue in his house and the only person he genuinely does not like and is not afraid to show his distaste for is Sanjay. and even Sanjay he only "dislikes" but he will never actually get him punished or held accountable for anything. he represented Yuvraj who is a murderer, got him out on bail and he attacked Vidya, Abhira and almost killed her, he got Abhira almost molested, he has no Fs to give about his children's dreams and wishes, he abuses his wife which everyone acts blind to, he is disrespectful and physical with MG and people older than him- and despite all this he is going unpunished. Despite all this Armaan hasnt made him pay.
Armaan as a character in his 2.0 version seems to have lost sensitivity but only towards Abhira. she is a convenient punching bag. He didnt ask Charu one question about her poor judgement, only blamed Abhira. he didnt give Abhira benefit of doubt to help sort VM shaadi, and lost his cool fully. He never reflected on why Abhira left home and just how much he hurt her by making her a bojh. his entire concern for her comes across as an obligation to protect his family name or bare minimum insaaniyat. he seems to forget that she also has emotions and she is extremely lonely. she is also in a financially vulnerable position. she has no security about anything in her life.
I am sad to see that his predominant reaction to her confession is also of blame regarding the timing of her words. he initially looked guilty for not reading the signs, then he was like "mujh mein aisa kya hai that she loved me" but both those emotions were short lived. Ultimately his lingering emotion is - how could she tell now and not earlier.
Thats why I find Armaan so frustrating to watch.
He cant get over guilt for Ruhi's state but when its about Abhira, he has zero guilt. And in a way its good that in their equation he doesnt feel saddled to be a certain way but on the other hand its like he has no respect or regard for her. she is taken for granted. he behaves badly but she will still be there taking his crap.
kitni baar trip fall, eyelock karvayenge?! UGH.
Why are these guys drinking in Sangeet party?? Didn't Ar say that he does not drink??
I don't know about this but has Rishta ever shown Drinking parties in previous gen??
PS: I have no problem with that, but it doesn't feel like what Rishta would do.
