SS devi is the head of the family and we know how hypocrate she is towards Mauli but in this case maybe she thinks going against Tanvi and supporting Rauli may weaken the family once again after they all finally come together after a long long time thanks to Rauli obviously.She should support Rauli but it will come at a cost of rising tensions in the family once again and to be frank she is really in a tough spot.

Also it can't be said if Tanvi didn't had any problems with Mauli being divorcee, would SS devi then would have supported Rauli wholeheartedly? Obviously not she is a kind of black and white character in the show which believes in ancient parampara pratha and all and would be against intra family relationships.But as of now it is shown to us that she is kinda in tough spot and would go for family over Rauli any day.

Great it seems baarish wale scene mein confession hoga and then engagement tootegi Rahul london nahi jaaiga, sabko Rauli ke baare mein pata chal jaaiga,Tanvi paagal ho jaaigi, kasam vasam deke emotional blackmail karegi,Rati Mauli ko saataigi,SS devi apni rubbish logic lekar aa jaaigi and many more drama is going to happen.But important thing is Rauli will be officially together and we want that first baaki yeh sab problems toh solve kar hi lenge.

Right SS devi has no right to tell who shouldn't know whose feelings and all and Tanvi andhbhaki of DN is also one of the reason she will not accept Mauli but at the time of Mauli -Manas kand she was supporting Manas and was of the view that Mauli should forgive Manas looking at his efforts to try her winning back and both should be married while Rahul has to tell her to stop supporting Manas in one scene.She is just like SS devi in that regards.

Tanvi wala reason & all I believe is just her bahana. We know how she has been hell against Rauli friendship too from day 1. She's in a tough spot but it's all her creation only.

I feel ye Tanvi wala reason na bhi hota to bhi Ss devi would've been against them only considering her unch neech & all other things. The point here is she's not even thinking about her own grandson & his happiness let alone Mauli. She's being too insensitive & dumb.
