Only proves one thing....that the legal system worked.
Otherwise, nothing changes. The dude is the R-nominee and no matter what, people are gonna vote for him.
donât think he can run for presidency since he is convicted. So who is going to vote .Originally posted by: liberiangirl

As a candidate for federal office, Trump is restricted only by requirements in the U.S. Constitution. Those requirements are straightforward: The president must be at least 35 years old, must be a natural-born U.S. citizen and must have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years. Thereâs nothing on criminal convictions.

Indeed. A convicted felon can't vote, but can sure be President of USA. Lol.

It's because the founding fathers never really considered that a day would come when a convicted felon would be major party's nominee.
You'd need to amend the constitution but that would never happen because it needs a 2/3 majority and Republicans would not vote for it. Because they love their criminals.

True that.
I'm waiting to see what the SC opinion is gonna be on Presidential immunity. Would be really interesting.

My guess is if the judge sentences him to prison the RNC will nominate someone else. Otherwise theyâll keep him because his base will still vote for him.
As for the Supreme Court and presidential immunity, my guess is they will reject the immunity argument not to help Trumpâs prosecutors but because thatâs a dangerous precedent to set. But with this Supreme Court you never know đ€·đœââïž. Question is when will that SC ruling come? Because Trump is trying to run the lock both on the federal charges and the Georgia charges.
