ASR torturing Khushi both before and after marriage ran for a very very long time.. Maligning her name on TV, making her stand in rain, making her fall down, black mailing her to marriage, making her sleep on floor near the pool after marriage... Many many instances of manhandling.. They are nothing compared to what Ar has done so far... But difference is in how it was all lead centric even with Lavanya in picture and the under currents were clearly shown.. Plus ASR was a strong character with Barun playing it .. So had as much or even more audience on his side than Khushi... Here almost entire audience are firmly on Ab side plus Ar is not a strong ML character overall for audience to connect to as ML.. Also I feel audience pref also has changed esp online audience and are less forgiving..

Gul shows are almost like this ...Manhandling is their love language ..But the male lead also had strong character and had pain ,guilt emotions inside them...Not a confused aatma...knows the value and limit of Every Rishtha...

Armaan has never seen any interest from abhira towards him,,because she had always stressed that it’s just a deal marriage and he will never be her husband..etc etc. so when he gets an idea that she has feelings for him..that’s going to change everything…in ghum Savi ran to declare love for Ishaan and she got a slap from him because he was in love with Reeva..Savi and Ishaan had no build up as a couple. So that’s what’s going to change or stop this wedding..when Armaan comes to know abhira has feelings for him..then we are going to see this useless man finally wake up.
