No, he will need to decide if J is worth to break away from his family for good since it's bound to happen. His entire family adores Arshi for several reasons. They will never accept Jhanak in any form as the bahu of the house. He is capable of it, right now I am not sure he can actually accomplish it at his current mindset.

There is a complex PTSD aspect to these which manifests as him trying to maintain the status quo. If he really was as righteous to the core as we expect him to be, he should have stood up for J and the other targeted Basus every time. He hasn't. That's a plain fact. Because he wants to maintain peace... granted he is now losing his patience post Jhanak's marriage fiasco. He is not there yet to completely throw away his commitments. He needs a final push. What form that comes in, upto makers.

They have to show Jhanak rise to stardom, and the change in her perception and treatment at Bose house when she becomes bigger than Shristi and Arshi. They have to resolve her dad's story too.

They cannot have J become a star and still get insulted like a maid.

I think when she comes back eventually, it will not be as a maid.

Lets see - the unpredictability is what makes this show interesting, inspite of the lack of logic and repetetion

Yes jhanak in initial episodes was the worst! But somehow Abhira’s dialogues have an endearing quality or maybe it’s the actor’s way of emoting😊

Ani has always come across to me as someone who acts first and thinks later...

We know he is in love, he does not know that. To him this isn't a date, it's the last few days he has with Jhanak whom he cares for very much. In his mind he must have thought, that if his family and Arshi did not have so much issue with Jhanak, he prob would have informed everyone before he went on this dinner. That is clearly not possible ... He likes to take the easy way out.

Our boy is very stupid when it comes to matters of hearts.

This guy claims he is in love with Arshi, someone who cannot be more different from him in every way... Ab kya hi bolu!

Ani is a man who is desperately in love and does not care. He is out of control. Like Bipasha said his entire head and heart is full of Jhanak. Commitment stage is gone. He said sorry to Arshi because of Jhanak.

He is keeping the Arshi relationship now alive, I think for Jhanak, bcos she wants it. Even Shrishti highlighted the fact to Arshi that Ani apologized bcaos J told him to.

If Jhanak gives green signal he will break off with Arshi.

His monologue too - that he has no control over his life, that does not seem like a man who is keen to keep his commitments, it shows a man who is unable to get out of them because of jhanak. She jumps in to apologize and say there is nothing between them and she sees him as jeejaji. After tomorrow's episode and the rain romance, she has to accept her feelings too.,...can;t get away with 'chee' and all.

@B - I honestly feel whoever writing these dialogues about death in this show is bipolar. I am saying this with utmost sincerity that they get help in real life. I have lost a colleague because of this for real couple of years ago and that’s why it doesn’t sit right with me with the amount of references they have about death in this serial. Depression, suicides & death are not some normal topics to keep writing as general dialogues. I wish and pray whoever are writing these stuff get help! Doesn’t the actors or director etc feel these dialogues inappropriate in repeat fashion I wonder.

On a lighter note, apart from those stupid dialogues, I kind of liked them. I think the disconnect you might have felt probably is, our titular character of his eyes didn’t get much screen space today, it was more of J’s side of expressions showcased making it a bit one sided may be.

I have complained about this multiple times. Whether it be the talk of death or the numerous unaliving attempts or ensuing hospital tracks. As a person who has lived through this and was actually close to unaliving myself several times over the past decade, it sucks when they normalize it without bringing awareness or its impact on the near and dear ones.

But today, it was in a different context so it didn't trigger me thankfully. Or maybe I improved enough to not be trigged. Who knows?

iTV seems to be driven by TRPs and not so much by good writing. Playing on negative emotions sometimes makes the most money. I have realized that, so stopped taking things to heart (ever since Ani's CA). I stop trying hard to make sense of things when they just do not. Because probably whoever is writing has also not put lot of thought into it.

Agree with what you said..it’s all the money game at the end of the day. I don’t take things too seriously to heart thankfully, but I am worried for the person who writes these dialogues and I want them to get timely help!

he wants her to go to srinagar. but he wants the right to get her tickets, know where she is staying and come back to calcutta and stay maybe in another house, and even with Rahul just to have her near. him being ok for her to go to srinagar and buying her tickets is not a sign of indiffference from him.

I didn’t find him indifferent, I was finding him very casual to certain things and there could be reasons supporting that from the writers. That’s why I said that I need to see the next few episodes to get a better insight of what’s going on with Ani’s feelings. :)

Ani is definitely not in love yet or at least he hasn’t realized it correctly we could say it like that. His commitment to Arshi isn’t because of Jhanak.

Something significant has to put an impact on his heart and feelings for Jhanak is what I am waiting to see and hope writers can portray it beautifully!
