I think he thinks J loves r and therefore he is resigned to arshi. Arshi also told him she wont lose to a maid and has already tried to fake suicide.

Ani is a clever fox. He is not an idiot. From the beginning he never has said our wedding, he always says Arshi ki shaadi, Arshi ki ashirwad. Sub consciously the guy has never loved Arshi. How can a guy like Ani love a woman who is shown as uncaring of her own cousin and. so selfish as to not want to help Jhanak succeed, esp when he is the opposite. The guy is lying abt loving Arshi. The way he criticized Lal when he was being insulted for going to J's room, the way he gave back Shristi and also his mother and Bipasha at the dining table, he is very smart and perfectly aware of whats going on and hence she should also be aware of his feelings....no?

I get your point about death. They never were in a normal situation for them to ask about Missing the other. It was always on high points, unlike today... I felt Ani was all Abandon hope and fire shots and Jhanak was in wish-fulfilling mode for his Bday. Hence this line of questioning.

Only I told he'll miss her directly. Jhanak still questioned him only as to if he will miss her. For this pagli ladki, he has to question in extremes to get a reaction.
