Maybe finally RS realized yeh rishta Divorce kehlata hai. It started in gen 3, one time though but he became a fan of divorce now. He will again divorce Armaan and Ruhi, and may be more in line. His other serial FL already had two divorces.😀

Makers might be afraid though. If they bring someone now then audience might want that new guy as hero for Abhira. A lot of people have already given up on Armaan. If they want to keep Armaan relevant they will avoid bringing in new guy at this point. Armaan first needs to fall in love with Abhira then a new guy should be introduced. He falls in love with Abhira but she falls out of love with him. Then a new guy should be introduced. I am also hoping to see DDP of Armaan.

DDP of Armaan, Rohit probably will nail it.

I hope they do show that and redeem Armaan somehow.

I agree that Armaan getting married to Ruhi is kind of deathknell to Abhimaan. Having said that, each generation will follow some variations and changes. ML or FL dont need to be first love of each other. We can very well have a jilted/past history which didn't worked out and jaded person as lead. Consistent character arc growth is most important part.
