Also there is a thing called Acting. It matters.

Buneet is possibly the worst actor of the lot. Even Miraya doesn't seem that bad.

On the other Hand the Leads are brilliant in thier roles. So audience will obviously connect with it.

For Ex recently Yrkkh replaced the ML and the female Vamp/Parallel lead.

And for some reason the new Vamp actress gets very less bashing and people are liking her but the past one was trolled till oblivion. So much that her clips and GIFs became meme material.

Waise you are right on the contrast thing. It loves this. Unko stark differences dikhana jaruri hai else the audience won't understand.
